Just wondering how do you call the sweet sentence in your language(if not english) which every teenager likes to be called or call at one point of time. thats "I love you" In my mother tongue(Telugu) we say "Nenu ninnu premisthunnanu" in my national language we say"Mein tumse pyaar kartha hu" and by the are you fortunate to get called by that by your dear one?

I think that to say "you are my sweetheart" was once the traditional English term of endearment. I doubt kids use it very much now days. I don't know what the kids would say.

we have many dialects here in the philippines & "I love you" in Tagalog is "Mahal kita or Iniirog kita" there are many translations for the word love & that's why i came up with these 2 endearments. thanks for the post! it's a good thing you opened this topic, appreciate it much. good god i can now tell my hubby other forms of saying how i love him :) i know i'll be having problems pronouncing it but it's the thought that counts right? :) happy my lotting!
