Are you serious?

Do you ever read the start of a discussion and think "Are you serious?" Sometimes I read the topic of a discussion and think people are just out of ideas and want to post anything. Not that there is anything wrong with that, because some of these discussions get quite a few responses. I just sometimes wonder if people are just trying to see what kind of ridiculous response they will get.

I was serious before some days ago. I used to choose only selected topics for discussion. But now I respond to almost any topic which I am capable to answer because discussion forums are not for serious people. Its some sort of fun and time passing. If you take it seriously, you will left behind or progress slowly.

Oh yeah, I totally agree that this is for fun. Sometimes I think people say ridiculous things to get a response. Then sometimes I HOPE they aren't being serious. Thanks for your response.

I know what you mean. I have to stop and read the discussion a few times to try to get an understanding of the post. Most of the time I choose not to respond to such topics because I can't think of anything to say. I try to make note of them and then go back to them later to see if anyone has posted.
