I know: karate, Aikido, kendo (all martial arts words...heh.) I know: Daijoubou (are you ok? / ok.) Sore wa, kore wa, doku wa (this is, where is, that is) nani(what?) adding 'jidai' onto certian words, 9heian, sengoku, meiji, togogawa) denotes an 'era' leaning ninja was NOT a japanese word at all, but Shinobi was...very cool. 9it emans 'one who endures') also learnign the word for col/amazing: Sugoi! hon=book 9i read a lot of books...heh.) having my japanese friend Yuki-chan give me a japanese name, also fun. (Arashi, wich means 'storm') she calls my brother(aniki) 'nadare' wich is 'avalanche.' I was born stateside, but know a LOT of Japanese. ^_^

I learn few words(samurai, bushido, ninja, daimyou, sengoku, etc.) from our asian history class and my first study of the language was after our highschool graduation when my friend give me his book. Aside from our history class, anime was and still is very popular in the philippines so many of the other words that I learn is from watching anime.
