I accidentally killed 3 kittens! :-(

It was late in the afternoon and I was preparing the car to go to my son's school to attend an event. I started the engine and after a couple of minutes I drove out of the garage. When I was about to close the gate, I saw three dead kittens on the floor. I felt so guilty and sad for what I saw. I just realized that there was a stray pregnant cat hanging around the house and I didn't realized that she had given birth already. Maybe the kittens wandered off to find a spot which is quiet to sleep in. I did not bother to check under the car because I never would have thought that there would be kittens underneath. And besides I have a labrador and I thought that it would frighten them off. Well, I was wrong. Now the mother cat is constantly making noises every now and then which is kinda making me more guilty everyday. I even give her food whenever I can to make up for what I did. I still feel guilty but I never want anything for this to happen. What are your thoughts about this cat lovers?

I know how bad that feels. I accidently killed a cat that had crawled into the engine compartment of my car. I heard a thump when I was driving and saw the cat behind me on the road. It's just one of those things that happens sometimes. Cats without homes are always in some kind of danger.

It was an accident and yes you will feel guilty. Most of us do when we accidently run over somethng. You never know hun she may of moved them there herself. Is a sad thing but you shouldn't let it eat at you. If you don't intend to keep the mother cat and have her fixed so there are no more babies then might I suggest you take her to the spca or have them come out and get her so she can find a good home. The longer you feed her she will be hanging around and well if she does and isn't fixed there will be more babies again and could be a repeat. huggles and sorry it happen to ya.

Accidents happen and its terribly sad.
Check around to see if you can find a trap and get mom spayed, then it will never happen again with her - and you will be doing a good thing for her and your neighborhood by keeping the stray cat population down.
