The Democrats Just Keep Dropping the Balls...

The Republicans had control of the Houses of Congress, but Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and their coleagues set their sights on Congressional Majority status, and the people of the States and Districts decided to let them have their shot at it. They promised to "hit the ground running" on "day one" of their "first 100 days"... what they did was more like, hit the ground with a "splat". They promised the mosts ethical and open Congress, but what they delivered was "more of the same". Now our country is faced with the biggest economic decision to be made by the federal government in decades. What have the Leaders of Congress done? Admitted they have no idea what to do about it, and left it to others. Each Senator represents the voice of their state at the federal level. Each House Member represents the voice of the people of their districts at the federal level. There is time for talk and time for action. Sen. McCain came out on the side of action when he saw his responsibility and acted on it. Sen. Obama came out on the side of talk, insisting that the upcoming debate is more important than the state of Illinois' voice at this time. I wonder, what does Obama have to say in the debates that is more important than his sworn duties as Senator? What new insight into his "Blueprint for Change" has he been saving these 19 months, that can only be said when facing off with Sen. Mccain? It seems to me that we can watch what the candidates do, or we can listen to what they say. Which speaks louder? In this situation, I see Prs. Bush ready for action, Sen. McCain, ready for action, but all I hear from Reid, Pelosi and Obama are words. Go head, defend the Do-Nothing Duo and their Great Orator. Words are all there is to them, so they probably do need your words to find some kind of relevance.

The facts you cite supporting your position are all made easily available by the internet. I hope anyone who doubts your facts checks them out. I believe you are 100% correct. What you have had to say here is all pretty darn well put.

Hi, Ted. Don't ya think they ought to grow some first before saying they're dropping them? I am so disappointed with their inability to do anything they say or to do the opposite of what they promise, I sometimes think they're really Republicans but only claim to be Democrats to get elected.

..don't ya know? the name of the game is to bury the other party. Nothing else matters. Been going on in the extreme for 8 years and yes it's accomplishing a lot on many fronts!

But can you dig a whole for the other party without getting dirt all over yourself?

I would think the people of Illinois would be very concerned that their interests are not being represented adequately by Senator Obama - that is still his job, and he needs to be doing it. I firmly believe that it is much more important for both McCain and Obama to be involved in their capacities both as Senators, and as potential Presidents, in these negotiations, rather than off debating on foreign policy!

I more sick of the do nothing congress than I am of Bush. That is saying a lot. Personally I do not think any of them should be re-elected for Congress, much less get promoted to president. We need a complete over haul in congress and senate. And elect someone for president who is NOT a part of the do nothing congress.
