Absolutely! If something doesn't affect me, as long as I don't know about it, then I don't have to worry about it and it doesn't take up any of my time or energy. I am a much happier person when I don't join others in their doom and gloom and complaining about the price of gas, etc. etc. Anything that is really important, somebody tells me about it.

Knowledge can empower you, but sometimes not knowing something is better. If the information is only going to hurt you but not provide any positive benefit, then these are the things that it is better to be ignorant about. Unfortunately, sometimes you do not know the difference until it is too late.

Ignorance may be a bliss but only upto a certain level.Any further ignorance on our part only alleviates the situation to a further level at which the problem may be unsolveable or worst unfathomable.
It is a blissful thing to watch the world as it is but only if you have the nerve to do so without feeling anything about it.
