Would you miss me if I was gone?

There was a discussion I responded to earlier about someone who was concerned for another Mylottian. This person had not been seen from in a while so it was natural to wonder where they had been.
My question is this: would you be missed if you left Mylot for a long time? (or even a short time)
Has anyone ever tried to track you down. There are some of my friends that I have not seen in a while and I try sending them a message from time to time.
I guess you can tell how influential you are here on Mylot by how much you are missed when you have been gone a while.

We would certainly miss you doubleloveyou! I often have times where I just don't have a chance to do any posting for a while. I have had a couple of friends from mylot check up on me to make sure everything is ok. It is nice to know that people are interested in what you have to say and are not just here for the money. Most people just assume if I am not here it is because I am busy with the daycare kids.

I usually don't get on during the weekends but other than that I try to get on more. I don't know if I have you set to notify. I have not seen a discussion from you in a while. I will go check that now.
I really wish it would default to notify when you add as a friend or at least remind you as you are accepting the friend request. Thanks for the response.

Wow this is a great discussion. How did you ever come up with it?? LOL 
I have been known to miss my friends.. ahemm. but I was gone for 5 days my server was down.. no one checked on me.. I guess it is because I am the kind of girl that can take car of myself no one feels that they need to worry about me! LOL
But if you were gone for a while I would wonder what happened to you and pray that you were safe.

Well if I head up the Mountain and you don't hear from me in 2-3 weeks someone better do more than just miss me. You better send a search and rescue team.
Yeah you were gone...but of coarse I was gone at the same time. I usually know when my friends are gone and I will make a point to let them know once they return.

I only know of one person that misses me on here and she often emails me to see how I'm doing and I do the same with her too.

nope can't see anyone looking for me as i have not been around for long, i started mylot like 2 years ago, and stopped, just got back into it!

Wow. Were you under the same name or is that your original number of posts. I started a year ago and when I moved it took me about 3 months before I got back on. I have not stopped since. :-)

It is an event in my life that I have always considered myself as a person of very low profile and that I am ever obliged to those friends who accepts me as one of the friends. If I do not find either of my friends, I mean, if this comes to my notice, I am sure I shall miss something, something which is sure and not explicable exactly what that is. Still I shall sit before my computer next day with the expectation that he/she will be noticed and it may happen that I shall fail to contact, but the feeling that he/she is present and around me is a thing of joy and will be, true to speak, ever so.

I agree. It does something for you when you open up your email or Mylot and see that your friends have commented to you about your discussion. It makes me feel good that they took the time to tell you what they think.

When you love your friends, of course you will miss them. Friendship is very rewarding. You will miss all your whereabouts. In my highschool years, i have a group which the main purpose is not to be involve in a relationship until we graduate highschool. And now that we are grown, i miss all my friends who went to other places to find their career.

First of all, welcome to Mylot.
You are right, friends are a great thing. Can we build that same kind of relationship here on the Lot. I believe so. I have been here a year almost and have made some really good friends. They miss me when I am gone and I miss them when they are gone.

I don't think that there is anyone here at MyLot that misses me when I'm not around but then again I'm not around enough to miss LOL. Now in real life and the true friends that I have made online let me know that they noticed my absence and that is a very warm and welcoming feeling for sure.

Now, you know that I miss you when you're not around. The problem is that I have been out so often. Busy life. :) You are missed though.
Alot of it is that you don't post as many discussions so I don't get notified when you are online. I only notice when you haven't responded to one of mine in a while.

I seriously doubt that I would be missed. I haven't been on Mylot that long, and I haven't made or responded to a wholelot of discussions. Maybe some of the people who have like 1000 or more posts would be. If someone is missing, I don't really notice either.

Yeah since you have only been here a month, that will make a difference. The more you are on and build the relationships you will be more in the position of greater influence. However, don't discount the Mylot people. There may be one or two that would miss you.
I have only been involved in just over 500 post but I have been here a year so I know more people.

It takes some time to get known on the Lot. BUT if you really care about what you are writing in discussion you get more friends and then they are always looking forward to reading your responses. Then they start looking for your discussions and then they miss you when you are gone.
