The other night on UK telly Leslie Ash a British actress did a program about plastic surgery, after she had a lip procedure that left her with a trout pout and she was ridiculed for it by the press http://www.itv.com/LeslieAsh/ what are your views on plastic surgery would you ever have anything done if you needed to or have you had something done and would have more thanks.

I think Pete Burns is a reason for people not to have plastic surgery. It all went horribly wrong for him. I just do not understand why people cannot be happy with what nature gave them.

I kind of feel sorry for him, even though he did it to himself. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Hi signum... Yes apart of me feels sorry for him and Micheal Jackson because it makes me wonder what psychological damage they must have to not like the way they look so would go to that extent and extreme to alter themselves beyond recognition.

I am in the UK i know who Leslie Ash is ,but I didnt see the documentary, but in a roundabout way I feel for her,she was very poorly with the MRSA bug,and had a very bad time after she came home from hospital,I know that she got a lot of compensation for thay, but it still doesnt help the fact that the MRSA has left her in pretty bad health. She realised as soon as she had her lipped done what a terrible mistake she had made, and her lips looked terrible, they were huge like they had been stung!but me? no im staying as I am,and keeping all my bits!no plastic surgery for me thanks.

Hi ruby222..yes it was a real shame for her, I felt sorry for her because she already was having health problems but I'm with you I couldn't have anything done and I like a woman to look her age..I think it looks really attractive..

I have commented on something like this before. All I know on the subject is that a lot of people go under the knife and sometimes it comes out horribly wrong. People have money to burn and seek the fountain of youth. A lot of times the people didn't even need to change anything about themselves. Their appearance is usually fine to begin with. I guess that it is anything for the sake of trying to make one's self look better and it is really taking a risk to get these surgeries. You are supposed to do a lot of research I believe before such an undertaking.

I don't think i would have anything done because i'm not all that bothered about my image, i can understand reasons for some people getting it done like after accidents or birth defects. To some degree i understand them getting it done for body isses but from what i've seen it very rarely solves the problem. I don't agree with young girls getting boob jobs and things though they barely know who they are why are they being alowed to risk their life and make perminent changes that they may regret it later life. I suppose its all down to personal choice but i think being happy with who you are and what you've been given is much more important. Not many girls these days are comfortable in their own skin or with who they are i think thats a shame.

yes i think it becomes an addiction they then realise they can change everything about themselves and it all ends up going horribly wrong because they need to look inside themselves for the answers not change the outside. How scarey will some of these people look in their 80's when gravity takes over and everything else runs it's natural course!!!

Hiya mands61123... I do agree with you on all your points of view, many girls do have it done and bearly know who they are all for vanity reasons but I do agree that there are people who get a nose job and you can clearly see why they should of wanted it done, then yes it's understandable but when you see people like Leslie Ash, Pete Burns or Micheal Jackson it really is frightening to see what they have done to themselves all for the sake of vanity.
