Jail or Rehababilitation centers/rehabs?

What do you think is the answer for drug-related offenders that are addicts? Do you think rehab will be more beneficial or jail for punishment?I myself side with rehabilitation centers.I don't think jail has any benefits to a person that obviously needs to rebuild their way of living.Where rehabs can give you a new way to live.Jail, you kind of just sit there and rot away.Do you agree?What do you think should happen to drug-related offenders that are addicted to drugs?
