should christians celebrate halloween? i dont think that they should because i feel that is comes from the pit of hell and it is satans holiday many christian i know do but i dont part take in it because i feel it is satanic and christian should not partake in it i feel it is a compromise of there faith in jesus christ. i look at it this way jesus christ did not partake in it so i dont feel like we should partake in it either!!!! so to you is it right or wrong what are your views to me it is wrong!!!!

I think it's important to note that just because something has roots in Paganism doesn't mean it has anything to do with satanism. Paganism and satanism are two totally different things. I could take the time to explain things to you, but you'd have to have an open mind and by your musings here, I can tell you do not, in fact, have an open mind. Maybe you should try researching the history, and evolution, of Halloween before you condemn to the pit of hell. Catholics are not satanists and, for them, Halloween is All Hallows Eve, the night before they celebrate and honor all of the saints. Even it's roots are not satanist. The Celts were not satanists and for them, this night was a celebration of the end of harvest and the welcoming of winter. The Christian religion itself has Pagan roots and foundation. Does that make it satanism? I don't think so. So Halloween can't be Satanism unless Christianity is too.

that is such a good point. i think halloween is whatever you make it. for me its just a day for fun and candy. my friend is christian and he's celebrating his first halloween ever and he is excited. he's 20 by the way. my cousins are christian and they finally let their kids go out trick or treating, the kids loved it. i dont think its about satanism for kids, its just going out and doing the things that normal kids do. they make you seem like not a freak amongst others. kids just think its weird when you dont do things like dress up for halloween. lol.

Please don't pray for me. I don't need prayers from someone who doesn't even have a basic understanding of your own structure of beliefs.

I totally agree with you. Well, when I was little, my parents would never let us celebrate halloween. We never went trick or treating or even dressing up. Instead, we always had a little celebration at the church, we called it Hallelujah night and they had us dressed as bibl characters. There would be games on other things, then at the end of the night they would give each child a bag of candy. That was more fun then actually going out trick or treating. And plus my brother and I always had more candy then the neighborhood kids did. We had candy that lasted for weeks.
