Pin connector to USB

How can I use my olf Microsoft Force Feedback Mk1 with the old pin connection on my USB computer?

Because of how USB works, you can't just hand wire a cable and have it work, however, you can purchase an adaptor that will make things work. Here's a link to one that I found... http://notebookcables.stores.yahoo.net/dbjoytousbco.html

Re crazynate's helpful reply, but a word of caution to those who have the same problem. These joystick to USB converters do not support digital peripheries so it's no luck for those like me with a Force Feedback Pro. A special word of thanks to janee. She's so right. I thought my query was especially of interest since Microsoft have had a field day with USB and left those who bought expensive equipement with the old connector system in the lurch.
