Where did you go on your honeymoon?

When my husband and I were married, we were originally planning to drive down to North Carolina to vacation in the mountains. He had lived there at one time and wanted to show me the beauty of the area. Then....... there was an airfare war! We purchased two round trip tickets to Daytona Beach Florida for $120 each. We could not pass up that bargain. We ended up staying in Daytona the first night and then travelling to Orlando for most of the rest of our honeymoon. It was a great trip! We never did make it to North Carolina and we've been married 18 years. How about you? Where did you honeymoon? Did you like where you went? Would you rather have stayed someplace else? Any honeymoon trip disaster stories?

Nice question. I am living in a small but beautiful country. We spent 2 nights in Colombo and took the train to a cold area called Bandarawela. Spent 2 days and went to Kathragama which is a sacred city. Then we went to Kaluthara, a beach Hotel and then back to Colombo. It was an 8 day honeymoon and so far it was my best trip.

My honeymoon location is at Sydney, we spent 3 weeks at Australia, first week at Sydney, 2nd week at Melbourne, last week at Gold Coast. It was great trip and plan to visit again to Australia. My dream place to travel is Paris, hope have chance to visit there, of course, it would be my re-honeymoon with my wife.. LOL.

I stayed at a hotel downtown for two nights. It was nice, but it didn't feel like a honeymoon at all. We couldn't afford to go anywhere.

Vacation on the mountains, that would be great!!! Well my honeymoon was boring for my husband perhaps because I was having my monthly period during our first night. Ha!ha!ha! He was planning to have our honeymoon in a beautiful resort named "Hidden Valley' located in the country side but I was not in the mood. All I want is to lie down and rest so the plan did not push through. It was only until my monthly period passed that we got to be able to proceed with our honeymoon. At least it is better late than never. Ha!ha!ha!

My husband and i went to Bislig city, Philippines on our honeymoon. We went to other places and ate to different restaurants. He had his haircut in the barbershop and we bought an icecream where we ate it together. We want to go to tinuy an falls but sad to say we don't have much time. But it's ok. Everything worked out well. Are you from Florida rocketj1?

We enjoyed our honeymoon at a hill station. It's chail and we stayed at the palace. A fantastic hotel and had a merry time. We would go to the hills moving about the thick cool forests hand in hand. I really loved every moment of that. We enjoyed a lot and went there again after sometime and enjoyed remembering those moments of togetherness.

We went to Bali on our honeymoon. We liked it simply because we could be together and we could enjoy a relaxing holiday together. Had we had more money, we would have gone to Singapore instead he he he... BUT the good news is that we ARE going on our next honeymoon soon to Singapore, so we're looking forward to it. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! ;-D Disaster story? Not really...but my brother's wife caught UTI on their honeymoon in Bali last year. :-((( Poor lovebirds!!!

My wife and I really did not have a honeymoon. We were still in Bible College and we just never took time or money to go do that. I am hoping next year (our 17th) on our anniversary we will be able to go somewhere. The kids are older and I think we can get someone to stay with them while we go. It would be great.

When I married my first husband, we went to Niagra Falls. I was sick for days, so it wasn't much fun. I married my current hubby only 3 1/2 years ago and as dinosaurs (well, almost anyway) we didn't plan a honeymoon. He had to be back at work the following Monday. We figure that retirement will come in a few years and we can do lots of traveling then.

Sadly my husband and I have never had a honeymoon. We got married without telling anyone, not because people were against it but I don;t like to be the center of attention and thought it would be better to do it quietly. We did have one night at a local Inn (I had to work the next day) that was supposed to be for honeymooners but at 7am we were awakened by the sound of saws and hammers, they were renovating the room next to us. So it wasn't very special. Someday we plan to have one but who knows.

My fiance and I are not yet married but when we do wed we are going to be staying at a local hotel, nothing fancy as we are both afraid of going to far from home. Our last vacation was a disaster we drove an hour to get to a nice little cabin area and yet when we got there and stayed awhile we found we couldn't sleep. I don't think it was because of the location, it was a beautiful place and we are both used to the country sounds of night as we live in the country. I think it was the fact that it wasn't our bed, and it wasn't our room. Ah, but that's beside the point. I think if you can, make a trip to NC we have beautiful places here! I love the mountain area, but where we live now, has a "historic" downtown that is really down home!

We spent too much for our wedding and we had little money left for our budget, so we didn't go overseas for our honeymoon. We just went to one of the most famous beaches in the Philippines, Boracay and we stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. It was so funny! Since we paid for all the suppliers for our wedding, we had no money left as pocket money for our honeymoon. Luckily, one of our sponsors gave us Italian dollars as gift. We looked for a money changer in the island and we were so relieved to see one. If it hadn't been for that, we would have spent the next few days eating instant noodles on our honeymoon!!! On our second honeymoon, I'm planning on an Asian cruise. I hope this pushes through so that I can experience out of country trips with my husband.

no disaster stories, thank God! :) my husband and i were married four years ago this coming January 8th. we took a 7-day cruise in the carribbean for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! i was actually 6 months pregnant so it turned out to be the perfect honeymoon for me, especially. the days when we were at sea i had the opportunity to relax or nap if i wanted to- i could do as much or as little as i wanted. a couple of afternoons we took our books up to the deck by the pool to read, we played bingo, went to our first art auction (which was surprisingly fun), did a little gambling (well, my hubby did that!), relaxed in the hot tub one night... i could just go on and on. i so want to go on another cruise! i had always wanted to do it, anyway, so it just worked out well. the only bad thing was that we went on Princess cruise lines, and we were really not impressed with them as much. my husband had been on a carnival cruise before we met with his family, and he said the experience was so much better. but all in all we had a great time!
