Diaper Fashion Show... Would you like to be a Model?...

I stumbled upon this news article about an Adult Diaper Fashion Show... which was held in Japan... and i thought it was something unique and weird... but the organizers saw a potential in the creations since Japan has a rapidly aging society... and this is what the aged people are commonly using... but i don't really see any point in holding a fashion show for this item... since diapers usually go to the trash can after being used... who would want to reuse a diaper...
What can you say about this fashion show?...

I had to chuckle to myself when I read this story. I actually did a modeling gig for an incontinence catalogue several months back. I've been a professional model for quite a while and you get used to being in strange situations and doing strange jobs, but this must have been the weirdest modeling gig I've ever done. I felt a little uncomfortable at first, but I figured "what the heck? It's just another job". And I have to say that the photographer and the client were wonderful. It ended up being the most fun I've ever had on a gig. Plus, I like to feel that my work for the catalogue might have helped someone who's suffering with this problem and is trying to figure out what type of product to buy.

What sort of clothes did you model during that situation... i hope it was not adult diapers... that would have been weird... because the fashion show for me was quite unusual... and i can't imagine model wearing diapers while walking down the runway...

Sounds like you are a true professional... with that kind of attitude... i am sure you will go far in your chosen profession... i myself would feel hesitant if i were in your shoes during that time... and i do not know if i can ever pull it off... but you did... and congratulations to you...

The catalogue was for a company that sells incontinence products. They had a whole assortment of different products that I wore, ranging from pads to vinyl pants to pull-up disposable underwear to diapers and these things that were like big pads held on by belts. So, yes, I did wear all of them. Like I said, I was a little hesitant at first, but I just approached it as I would any job, and I ended up really enjoying the process. With most modeling jobs, there's no goal other than to sell the product and to promote your career. In this case, I obviously wasn't going to use it to promote my career, so I didn't worry about that, and it was actually kind of liberating. I was able to focus on the idea of helping the people who need these products, and that felt good.

Oh my gad. Really? Wait, if the diapers are for old people, does that mean that they're also going to use old people to model them? Oh no... I see the end of the world right there. I hope they're only trying to show the efficiency of a diaper and not really their aesthetic characteristics...

Some people think that way too... but since Japan has an aging population... there is an increasing demand for adult diapers... so some people saw the fashion show as a way to showcase how brands can be different... and i also think that is weird...

Oh my... torture for the sake of art... that is too much... i hope the women were paid a good amount for that... i sure would do it... not even for a million pesos... i might get sick in the process... and all the money would only go to my medical bills...

Oh, it is definitely a big no to me! I won't dream of being a model for adult diaper
Anyway, they looked 'cute' dancing and parading the diapers... Maybe there are a lot of competition in selling the adult diapers there and that's one of the reasons for the company to hold a fashion show. Aging people in Japan increased tremendously. My friend told me that senior people get extended retirement age as there are lesser and lesser young people to do most of the jobs there.

That is the major problem in Japan right now... a lot of aging people and less young people for the work force... i read that is because Japanese women choose not to marry and have children... i wonder how the Japanese government will be able to solve that problem...
