I own a 360 and I've played with a ps3 at my friend's place a lot. In terms of graphics, they are pretty much the same. They both have really good graphics. I like the controller of the 360 better though. I also like the games on the 360 better. The only games I played on the ps3 were Resistance and MGS4. Both exclusive to the ps3 and both really good games. The ps3 also has a BluRay drive so if you have BluRay Discs, you can use your ps3 to watch. I enjoy the online system of the 360 better though. If I were you, I'd get a 360. The games are pretty much the same except for some exclusive titles. The 360 is cheaper than the ps3.

well, i would prefer ps3 over xbox360. i know its expensive than xbox but its worth buying it because. 1. the CPU is very important for any game system. so here is the comparison. ps3 has 8 processor while xbox has 3 or 4. so, they will have edge in graphics. u may not find much difference in present games but in future game u will find the difference. 2. the ps3 ram is twice faster than xbox360, so it allows you to do more things. 3. this is the big factor, ps3 is less prone to the screw up factor. the xbox360 is more prone to get the red ring. u can check many forms and every where u will find this red ring factor. u will get red ring very easily in xbox360. if had to choose, i will go for ps3, this is console for the future, with better graphics that xbox360. in future u will get almost every game both xbox360 and ps3

What do your friends have? I know "following the pack" might seam like an odd way to decide, but most new games will come out on both systems, so unless a game has already come out on one of the two you don't need to decide based on that. So the deciding factor (for me anyway) would be "which can I play against friends with".

I'd prob. go 360 then, cheaper so you can buy more games. ;) Which after all is why you are getting the system. Graphically I think they are about equal, but the fanbois of each will disagree.

My fiance will be the one to root for the 360 wherein one of our friends / my cousin will be the one to say "PS3" I myself will say neither and go with the Wii but if I had to pick a side I would say probably the 360 as it is so cool.. My fiance and I have the Halo Edition. Our friend / cousin has the PS3. I am not sure of all the features on it, but...

Decide on what you want to play with friends. 360 have an array of games, but the ps3 has those upcoming cool games as well. I'm sticking with my ps3, but then it's your to decide. Both of them are good. One thing that I want to say based on my experience is...most exclusives on the 360(mostly FPS and action/shooter games) comes out on the PC as well, so if you're in it for that, better get a PS3. Heehee.

I would suggest the ps3 for a lot of reasons. One of the best reasons would be the Graphics. I think ps3 has awesome graphics that would really beat the 360. It's perfectly made for you HD TV if you have one. Another would be that because it offers blue-ray technology. You could store a lot of stuffs in it as blue-ray has awesome storage capabilities. Ps3 also has online access capabilities and online multiplayer capabilities. Also you could watch videos in very high quality in the ps3. The controllers are also nice as they are wireless. Overall I would really suggest ps3 over 360.

I have both. If you want a blu-ray player then PS3 is the way to go, it works great, has less of a sordid history of breaking down than my 360. If you are a hardcore gamer, then X-box 360 has way more games and gets more games than PS3; the PS3 has been slow, but it has also been out almost a year less than 360. The 360 is a machine that will be slowing down sooner I assume and the PS3 should be speeding up its content (some great games coming out soon like Resistance 2), but then again if you are a Halo fan 360 has that...basically 360 is proven to be a "gamers" machine. PS3 still needs to prove itself to me. Online gaming - the 360 experience is fuller overall, but cost a bit of money, whereas the PS3 is free to play online. The PS3 is supposed to release HOME which is its true online world, supposed to be way more elaborate than the 360, almost bordering on being like Second Life...but it keeps getting delayed...will it ever come out? I don't care what people say the PS3 has been pushing better picture quality on my 50 inch plasma tv, over the 360. So really you just have to weigh what you want a machine for, look at the games available and upcoming for them, and decide based off of that. Personally I am waiting for a new Twisted Metal game to come to PS3 dang it!

The best way I can help you out with such a question is that you should find out which games are you interested in the most. You shouldn't buy a system just solely on one game. I recommend looking at the features, the game library, its reputation, and of course what you can afford. I can't tell you which one to buy but can only suggest just look at each of them and see what they got that you would like.
