What is the meaning of "if you set your mind you can do anything"?

My grandmother who was born in 1898 said that "if you set your mind you can do anything that you want to do"? Does anybody know exactly what she meant my setting your mind? To tell yourself or to convince yourself? I have always been unsure about this.

She meant that if you visualize, it's like you instantly have the goal and that will give you the motivation to achieve whatever that goal is. It's conditioning your mind about one thing that you wish to accomplish succesfully.

It requires to convince yourself first, then keep telling yourself. constant determination, unwavering in your attitude. I would not necessarily relate it to anything and everything, but mainly things which we find difficult or assume will be extremely tough for us to do.
