Had a fight with wife. Because of direct to home TV connection. INDIA.

i JUST had a very serious fight with my wife. She is insisting on taking a new DISH Television connection.
we live in HYDERABAD, south india. And, the concept of direct to home television connetion, or SATELLITE TV .. is just catching up.
But, in my view, this is all dirt, and idiotic. I would prefer to learn the news through INTERNET.
And, what is there in the news these days? All terror attacks, and brutal killings.
So, for the sake of our health and well being, I would rather not have a TELEVISION at home.
But, I am not sure, I can win my fight. [B] HELP ME FRIENDS.[/B]

Am I hearing this right consultrainer?? You are a man that DOESN'T want a TV in the home?? What is this madness? 
Seriously though, sometimes we have to surrender in order to win and your wife wishes to view the world in a different way than you do. So to keep the peace, let here have her satellite TV and you stick with the internet as you prefer. Just because there is a TV in the house doesn't mean that you have to watch it! The best thing about getting this for her means that she will be happy AND you get more time for the internet for yourself because she will wish to watch the TV. Perfect!
