Where are my keys?

Keys - Where are my keys?

This morning I could not find my keys. I searched in my yesterday’s trousers and could not find them in the pockets. I searched in my study but I did not find them there either. I wasted a couple of minutes until I found them in the kitchen where I was having my breakfast. Does this happen to you also?

I must be contagious! Last night when I came home from work I spent at least five minutes outside the main door of my home searching through my bag for my door keys so that I could get in. I started getting hot worrying where the heck they couldpossibly be Needless to say that when I got out of the car, as Ipicked up my bags, I had put them in my left hand so that it would have been quick by having them handy. The worst part is I only took about ten steps from where I parked the car to the door and I had already forgotten they were in my hand!

It is contagious indeed. I am trying to put my keys in the same drawer. So I won't forget where I have put them.

yeah. i always get absent-minded. i put my keys somewhere for a second, and do something else, then i forget where i placed it. and i have to retrace my steps until i find them. i put key hook by the door so when i come in, i just hang my keys there. i usually put my keys by the door. if i put it anywhere else, i will forget.

I usually either hang up my keys or leave them in my purse. My husband has this issue and they normally end up being in the igination where he left them. My keys may be in my purse half of the time so I know where they are located but half of the time I am looking for my purse!!!!

That happens to me all the time, but, not with my keys because I always make sure they are clipped to my purse. With other things that I forget this is what I've found that works for me. Let's say I'm walking into the kitchen or bathroom to get something or do something and I forget what it is that I want to do. I find that I literally have to retrace my steps. Another words, go back to where I was to begin with, like the couch, for example. For some reason, by doing this I'm able to jog my memory most of the. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

It would always happen for me especially when I am in a hurry to do things and for that reason I always put a small key cabinet in the door so that the moment I would come I could hang it directly and just grabbed it on the moment I would go also......to make it sure not to forget anything important..

Surely, when something is lost, especially an important thing, you are in stressed and upset that you could not think where you put the thing you lost. I myself has experienced this and I need a time to think where I put the keys until I remember that I left them on my desk at the office where I work. You see when you lost something we have to relax and give time to think.

I used to be so sick and tired of wasting frantic minutes or longer searching for my keys, using expletives, raising my blood pressure and getting 'hot under the collar' from frustration that now as soon as I have used them they go in a little drawer by the door and I have got into a routine now so it works and no more getting flustered or hot searching for the damn things that I used to think had legs! Problem solved, now if only everything in life was that simple hey!

This doesn't happen to me because I am usually really good at not losing my keys or such. I always put my keys in the same place every day so I know where they are when I go to leave the next day. My mother on the other hand has this habit of tossing everything she owns in different locations each night she returns from work so some days she's almost late because it takes 20 minutes or more for her to find her keys. I've tried to help her fix this problem by trying to get her to put them in her purse or leave them in the same location night after night but it just does not stick.

Sadly, this type of thing is happening to me more often all the time. Not so long ago I lost my car keys for a few days. I used my husband's keys in the meantime while I searched, and was getting desperate when they turned up in the freezer, in a plastic bag with some frozen vegetables!

Yes I did that too, many times, especially when I am a rush into something. I hated it when most of the time when you are in hurry there are a lot of complications along the way. Its not just a key but some stuff like my cellular phone, my wallet which are very important to me. I resolve to myself one time, that I need to place my key always in my bag which I carry everyday but often, I would get it and forget to return it, its weird being old eh. LOL.

OH, many times! Just another example of having so much to do and think about - no wonder we forget "where we are" at times! I have found my sunglasses in the refrigerator before - put them in while putting something else in I assume.:-)

Oh yes...I lose my keys all the time. They end up in the oddest places and i spend forever searching for them. However most commonly I've left mine in the door (oops) I tend to set them on the first empty flat surface i find when i walk into the room i'm headed to so..I have to think sometimes where did i go when i got home.

Why do keys get into funny places?its so annoying,I know so many times I have thought that I have put my keys down on the side in the kitchen only to find that they are in my jacket pocket grrrr, but we arent the only ones here, there are millions of key losers in the world, maybe we could put them around our necks on a chain

Ron, This is definately a Man Thing!! I've been married 3 times and have 6 brothers. No matter how hard I try, I cannot train my husband to be consistent in taking care of his belongings. I had him put up hooks by the door to hang them on, doesn't work. His glasses are constantly placed in an obscure place. He can't find these things without my help. I try to look in places in which the glasses blend in, or high places that make no sense at all. The best is when he is wearing them. I think men have to start focusing on something besides, you know what!! leenie

I have big klunky keys for just that reason, right now I'm looking for my dark glasses, been missing a couple of days. Do you have any idea where they are? Yah this happens to me too.
