If you want to improve your speaking you should practive conversation. If you can find a good native friends, it would be better because you can learn their pronunciation better than you learn yourself. You would be able to get the right speaking. It is easier to learn speaking because as long as your conversation partner understand about what you're talking that wouldn't be so much problem. But in writing you have to concentrate not only to your spelling but also the grammar and your sentence structure. To get the best result I think you should be able to learn both, not only one.
