A couple of years ago I thought it would be fun to take my mom out for supper on her birthday. I brought her to a restaurant that celebrates birthdays in a fun yet somewhat embarassing way. The waiters and waitresses bang pots and pans and sing while the birthday person sits there with a hat that has these huge antlers! The smile on my mom's face made a great picture! I suppose she was embarassed by that but she also got quite a laugh out of it. The best part was that we got share a really yummy dessert, compliments of the restaurant.

Mom never had a big birthday bash on her special day. Although she really want to have a nice party in her 50th birthday last year, but she was already happy and content having us and being healthy with that age. My hubby gave her a gift of diamond earrings. But she really wanted to have a new living room set..hehe. My husband and I are working with that birthday present for her. A brand new living room set.
