Ok, now this is a little creepy...

A guy in a car just pulled in the driveway. He stopped in front of the house and sat for a minute. Just as I opened the door to go out and see what he wanted, he pulled away. The same exact thing happened yesterday to s/o only with a different vehicle. I guess the doors are staying locked at all times and I won't be trying to be friendly and going out to see what they want. Neither s/o or I recognized the men and they pulled in like they weren't sure where to go...but it's seriously not likely that 2 different people just happened to get lost and come up the wrong driveway two days in a row.

You're not being investigated right? I'm just joking. I know I use peoples drive ways to turn around in at times but if it's a little differen't than pull in and immediately pull out, I'd of course be cautious of your surroundings. Don't go outside anymore and if you need to, put boards with nails in your driveway. That'll surely stop them from coming back! Probably not the best idea. Really though, be careful. It's not safe anymore and you find more murder trials and extreme crimes happening from people trying to help broken down vehicles on the side of the road instead of thank you's and you're a great citizen. Stay inside, if it persists, make a report of concern about it.

That is creepy. Please be careful and keep your doors locked. If it happens again I would contact the authorities cause obviously there is something going on. You might want to jot down the liscence plate number each time also along with the color of the vehicle and make a model if you can tell. Lots of times thiefs will scope out certain houses before hitting them.

You should call the police and inform that of the suspicious cars that came by your place. It is better to take extra precaution as there are many bad people around during these bad times and they are just waiting to make you their victims when you are not careful. Just make sure the doors are locked when you are inside and the phones are easily reach and you have all the emergency numbers on speed dial so that if something were to happen, yo do not have to fumble when making that important call. Well, I am not trying to scare you but just want you to be careful an alert. after all those incidents could just be coincidences but we should never let our guard off and take things for granted. Take care okay!

You might want to tell the police. Be clear that you are giving them the info just in case something happens down the road. That way if you do have to call them later, they will know there is an existing threat.

Hi Foxyfire, This would definitely make me feel uneasy too. If a car comes by again like hat get the plate number just in case anything else occurs. Be vigilant. Ellie :D

I would mention it to your local police as they could be burglars doing research for there next prey!! They could be checking out the activities of the neighbourhood to see what happens when. For two different guys to appear on your door step in 2 days, something is going on!! I definitely would keep the door locked and stay away from the guys!!

Hey foxyfire, It sounds as though they were casing your house. If you get the chance if it happens again, I would try and get their plate numbers on their car and call the cops. True that there hasn't been any crime committed yet that you know of, but at least with notifying the cops they can drive by on a more regular basis and scope things out. Wouldn't hurt to call anyway and give a description of the cars to them if you can. It is creepy, but we all have to be more on our toes these days. Good luck with this and stay safe. Get yourself a very large German Shepard if you don't have one. Of course one that is already trained. Cost a bit more but it would give you a sense of security. Plus working with the dog you will build up a bond between the two of you. If you go this route, make sure you get a Shepard that comes from Europe or has a strong european pedigree. Not down in the hips. More squared off. Anyway good luck keep us informed!

Do you have surveillance camera? Try to invest in one. Did you take notice of their number plates? If I were you I would contact the police to do more frequent patrols in your area. It's really creepy. Are they planning something sinister or it was jus a co-incidence?

I would definitely report the incident to the police. Happening just once well it could be a mistake but not on 2 occasions. There's a chance they were checking up to see if your house was empty in order to break in there, or it might be just a coincidence, but the police could sort that out.

Hello foxfire33, It is really creepy. It is better to be careful by getting the license plate of their car and taking some pictures of their suspectful activity. It may not be something serious at all but it's better to be careful. Maybe he was in the wrong neighborhood. He came back to double check again. I hope it's nothing serious and they are just really lost. Just be careful and not so paranoid. It maybe nothing at all. Have a great day. Regards.

Hurmm.. that is creepy... Another explanation is that the guys have OCD but that must be less probable than they are robbers. Maybe you should calll the police and inform them to do some roaming around your neighboorhood.

well, you should be cautious, there are so many instances of theft these days, it might be just a coincidence , or it might be a group of theives trying to know the area... or some one might be playing pranks on you [your friends] or someone might want to take you out on date, but is not finding enough courage to ask for.
