Wow, What did you think of it and did it change anyone's opinion on it that had a positive opinion of her? All, I have to say is Oh, my! Did she really say that!

I suspect that anyone who had a positive opinion of Palin this far into the game would have nothing but criticism of the entire interview. The questions were unfair, she wasn't allowed to complete her answers, everyone is picking on her or - my favorite - they wouldn't ask those hard questions of Obama! It may have driven the final nail in the coffin of those who were waiting to hear what she'd do with a 'friendly' interviewer, and it certainly cemented the opinions of those who have been horrified by her from the night she stepped up to the podium at the RNC.

LOL I bet Obama would love those easy questions and be given ample time to answer them but, no that silly Obama went up with O'Reilly. Guess he should have went with Gisbon and Katie, although I have to add (and Charlie Gibson was my favorite) Katie did a great job trying to get her questions answered.

The only nice thing that I can think of to say about O'Reilly is that he has told his listeners/viewers over and over again that Obama is not a Muslim, apparently some mylotters don't listen to Bill LOL

Whereas O'Reilly did a great job of not letting Obama finish a single sentence without heckling him - by his own words, he was heckling him as opposed to "shouting him down".

LOL Yes she did. Would you like to see it again? lol Amazing huh? I've avoided politics for 8 years because of our current president's inability to public speak! If McCain/Palin win it will be 4 more years of avoiding the politics!

Unfortunately, that is true. I read through the transcripts sometimes and still can't quite figure out what she said. I've begun to wonder if she is even capable of governing Alaska.

There has actually been several rallies in Alaska about recalling her since she refused to cooperate with "troopergate". Her approval rating has fallen from 80 something (varies depending on whom you read) to a rating of 68% according to the adn.com. I'm sure if she doesn't become VP then possibly Alaska will possibly recall her. I guess it all depends, it does take a lot to recall a governor.

I missed that interview. Do you know if there is a link where I could watch it? I would be really interested in hearing a conversation between those two women. If possible hook us up with a link or tell us where we can go to see that interview. Inquiring minds want to know!

It's the clip called Palin on Foreign policy. There's 3 clips and it's the one in the middle. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/25/eveningnews/main4479062.shtml

I never heard anything quite as pathetic. How sad people actually think she can be a candidate for anything. She has absolutely no grasp of American issues. Just another example of McCain's poor judgment. All the Republicans can do is dig up lies about Obama. All Democrats have to do is watch Palin. Americans have to have more sense than to vote for her. She's clueless. Oh, I forgot, she can see Russia from her house. And Alaska has trade relations with Russia that she never had anything to do with. Heaven help us.

What was she getting at when she licked her finger and stuck it up in the air? I thought that was weird?

Rachel, When she licked her finger and held it in the air, she was trying to say that Obama bases his decisions on how the political wind is blowing. Have you ever licked your finger and held it up to see which way the wind was blowing? It seemed to me to be a bad attempt at slamming Obama to make McCain look good.

I thought it was so pathetic that it was almost impossible to tell the difference between the actual interview and the one they did on SNL! I'm really amazed, though, where are our favorite righties? I thought at least one or two would be up to the task of rambling on in here, how about it? Oh, well, are we just making a mountain out of...whatever? Annie

I saw an article in Newsweek about this latest Sarah Palin interview. The link is: www.newsweek.com/id/161204 In the interview, she was asked about the $700 billion bailout, here is the transcript: COURIC: Why isn't it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle class families who are struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries: allow them to spend more and put more money into the economy instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess? PALIN: That's why I say I, like every American I'm speaking with, were ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health-care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy, helping the - it's got to be all about job creation, too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health-care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans. And trade, we've got to see trade as an opportunity, not as a competitive, scary thing. But one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today, we've got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that. I would be grateful if someone could provide me an explanation as to what Palin meant in answering the question posed by Couric.

The interview certainly did not paint a flattering picture to me. I did just read a discussion where people were actually defending Palin in the interview. The thing that I keep asking myself is, how did McCain pick this lady? It seems he might have scratched the surface a little. Possibly used some make up remover to get to what was underneath?
