Well for you pizza lovers out there I came across this recipe for a homemade pizza which is super simple. I mean even more simple than the box recipe you can buy in the stores....the last time I tried making homemade pizza was with the box kind and I got so frustrated and it did not even come out like it was supposed to...this recipe on the other hand (which is made by hand-nu pun intended) is very easy and looks like an awesome pizza. So here ya go: 2 1/2 c all purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 package (1/4 oz) dry yeast 1 tbsp. plus 2 tsp olive oil 3/4 c pizza sauce 12 oz mozzarella, sliced (or you can use the shredded kind) 1 3/4 oz pepperoni slices (about 25) 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1/8 tsp black pepper preheat oven to 400 degrees and lightly grease a baking sheet. Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl. Stir in the yeast. Make a well in the center and add olive oil and 1 cup lukewarm water. Mix until soft dough forms. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for 5 minutes. now depending on whether you want thick or thin crust you can either divide the dough up for two thin sliced pizzas or one thick crust pizza. After I rolled mine out to prevent it from tearing I only rolled it a little and then placed it on the baking sheet to press it to size of the baking sheet. After you have done this cover it and allow it to rest (I LOVE THAT PART CRACKS ME UP) for 10 minutes at room temp. Then bake it for 5-7 minutes Remove it form the oven and begin spreading the sauce on the dough careful to not spread it all the way to the edge. Arrange your mozzarella and then pepperoni. Seinkle with oregano and pepper. Drizzle olive oil and bake until golden (15-20 minutes)--however you want to be careful of the time if you split it up between two pizzas. This makes a wonderful medium pizza that you can fun with. In fact I put black olives, onions, green peppers....basiclly I make it a supreme. And the best part is for the cost of one pizza delivered you can make this all the time for practically nothing. Oh and I got this recipe in one of those freebie things they mail to you from some recipe club....I just might join I might add. I'll try the others when I get tired of the pizza.... So try this and tell me what you think....
