This is horrible, this happening in Irvine, not so far away from where we live.

The girl was approached about 3:00 p.m. Tuesday near Bryan Avenue and Marketplace in Irvine. The man fell to the ground when he was kicked and the girl ran away.
The suspect was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 20-30 years old, with a medium build and a shaved head. He spoke with a noticeable Spanish accent, had a tattoo with cursive writing on the back of his neck and a small scar on the right side of his face.
He was driving a green Jeep Wrangler in poor condition with no top.

Thank goodness that the little girl knew to kick out. Thank goodness her parents have taught her to resist as best she can. Otherwise, she may have become another statistic in these days of terrible things happening to our children. I hope that his description and other things can cause him to be caught. Hopefully someone out there reads this and knows this guy and will turn him in.

I hope they catch him and put him away for good. Too bad our laws are not to protect our children but to give these creeps a second chance at life... HAHA.
I guess when they say "Children are our future, it really does not mean that"
They rather save some money and not spend that money on keeping in jail, but to give them a second chance and hope they change... Yeah right! They are sick in the head and there is no hope!
I have considered signing my daughter up for karate classes later too.
My sister who lives by herself signed up for karate just so she can protect herself. She lives out alone and spend a lot of time traveling for business and usually have the red eye flights. I used to worry about her alot, but now I don't as much because she has karate lessons. She can defend herself.
just like the girl, her parents are very smart to teach her that.
I never thought of that myself. I be too grossed out and panick later and forget.
After reading about this I realize how important it is to teach our kids.
It used to be, run away from them and make loud noises.
Now it is hurt them then run away.!

I thought of that too. But I hope I never have to use them.
I tried to avoid going anywhere at night. Actually very little do I go to the store past 7pm. If I go at 7pm that is because I just got off work and needed to buy something last minute. Otherwise I do my errands during the day only.
Too bad that a ten year old have to defend herself. This gives me one more reason to sign up for karate class .

A woman has lots of defenses, if she keeps her cool. The kick is good, if you kick the right place. Also, a woman needs to have her keys in her hand when she's going to her car. They can also be used as a weapon. High heels are also a good weapon. Screaming is another! The scream, kick, and keys could all be combined!

Just reading this story made me sick! I'm so glad that the girl kicked him where it hurts.Thank goodness that she had some kind of training. The sad thing is a 10 y/o should not have to defend herself against a pervert.I hope that this guy gets caught. Thanks for posting this story.

that pervert has a sick sick mind!! Bravo to the girl for kicking him. Also bravo for knowing WHERE to kick him. It's sad that people would do that, but it's good that she knew how to defend herself. I know that even at that age i would have done the exact same thing.

yes it is horrible these days. Instead of spending time to just teach kids homework, and how to read, you also need to teach them how to defend themselves when something this horrible happens.
How sickly our world has become. The law needs to put these people away for good. And never release them again.!
