people in "power" fight injustice...??

Do you think people in a superior post can fight against injustice? By superior post, i meant like the cops in society, teachers in school or college, manager in banks etc..
What if they do any injustice? is there no way we/i can fight them?
For eg: One of my college teacher is doing injustice to my friend (classmate). How do tell the teacher that he/she is wrong? The teacher has a great respect for me and i am scared a bit if he/she begins to disrespect me after i tell him/her that.
I want to help my friend in the best way possible ie not losing my name and respect with the teacher and others and also helping my friend.
What do you think is the best solution? what would you have done?

the few friends i do have I love and would do anything to help them but I also do fall under the pressure to maintain the approval of my authorities (hey, im air force kid) but I still would speak up but in a way that doesn't make it obvious and try to consult anonimously with that teachers officials. In college I think they have people there so that you can do that without having to be put under the spotlight.
