Ours is "Luger" not by our choice, the dog was given to us by someone who already named him. He's a German Wirehired Pointer, thus the name originating from a german handgun, and being that the dog is a hunting dog, explanation of the name......We call him Louie, he seems to respond to that too, and it sounds better.
