I usually run a differential backup program. With this program I do a full system backup first. then a weekly differential backup with rotating cd's that way if I need to do a restore. I take the initial backup and then the last backup completed and I am all done. I do this weekly. or anytime I make changes to the system the backup is done before the change.

Oh god. Thanks for the reminder, i didnt perform any backup recently and is kind of really long time i didnt perform that too. That means is time for me to do something and prevent something not good happened later, even happended, at least i still have something from backup. For me, i will do full backup and all those info will put into a backup folder, then will burn a copy into DVD just in case my folder corrupted.

Great pal, glad to hear that it helps and remind you to perform backup immediately. So after this round, would suggest you to perform regular backup then. Most important thing is to have constant practice or good habit. The reason because most of the time we will remember it for next few days or week, so after that, we will forgot again, thus it will back to square one. Or may be i should post this every 3 months to remind the myloter? =)

I took the backup last time 1 week back. This reminds me that it time that I did it again. I take regular backups, every week to be precise. I once have had my computer crashed with all data gone!! Once bitten twice shy. So now I know the importance and better not miss! Thanks for the reminder.

Hi, I usually don't have any backup.. but now that I read this I should think about doing it.. I have backups of my documents in CDs but they are from ages ago and I don't use them anymore, so my new documents don't have any backup anywhere! Wow! my files are in very high risk!

Glad that it serve a reminder for you too. =) Suggest to have a reminder for monthly so if any cases happened, we still have something and better than totally nothing. All the best to us.

Wow, good luck man. I believe as long as we backup, it will somehow let us feel more comfortable. Even if the things happened, at least we still get back something and is not totally nothing. =)
