Do you let your spouse or SO sleep in while you

take care of the kids and the house? This morning my daughter woke early. My hubby wanted to sleep. So I hoisted my pregnant self out of the bed and took care of business. I am awfully tired. I hope I get a nap later. Have you done this?

When we have kids or my little sister stay over I do have to get up with the kids and fix them breakfast, hubby is a early riser but on occasion depending on the day of the week he will go back to bed for a nap while I take care of the kids and get them fed and into either watching cartoons or coloring or something they enjoy.

Yes I do all the time, even though I'm up 2 or 3 times a night to feed the baby. I always let him sleep while I get up with the kids, then he gets to take a nap later on that day while I watch the kids some more. I wish I could sleep a little more but whatever will keep the arguing down i guess thats all that matters.

Yes I do it all the time. Of course I am a stay at home mom and my husband works 6 days a week most weeks and long hours. So I get up with the kids no matter what and I try to keep them quiet when he is sleeping. I know how you feel though, I did it as well when I was pregnant with my 6 month old daughter I always got up with my 2 boys. That can really tire you out! My husband was really great at times though, on days that he didn't have to work he would get up with them sometimes and try to let me sleep a little. Being pregnant takes a lot out of you whether you get up early or not.

I wish I had someone to take care of the house and the kids while I slept in. Not an option here. My son will sometimes watch the baby for me while I take a shower, but that is about it.

I have let my wife sleep as best I can from time to time. Recognizing this, I believe she does the same for me. It is a certain sort of reciprocal exchange which I think displays a measure of respect.

I get to sleep in every Sunday. It's just our routine. I try to let him sleep in now and then, but I'm not a morning person at all. Sadly he's becoming one, so he lets me sleep in a lot. It used to be the other way around. I used to be the one that got up the moment I heard one of the kids, and he'd end up sleeping till I kicked him out of bed, lol.

Yes I do. I try to keep my son busy either playing with a car, or on computer or else watching television together. At least my wife can sleep in peace after a hard week.

All the time. My husband is not a morning person. I have always been the one to get up with the kids. Weekdays and weekends. I have to wake up my husband on weekdays to watch the little one while I take my two oldest to the bus stop, but he usually falls asleep on the couch again until it's time for him to get ready for work. On weekends he may sleep till noon, lol. I don't mind. I love my kids;)

Awww done it so many times here myself, and there is my partner snoring away and ive been up playing with the kids or watching the television with them, but then when he gets up and about and he is mobile then he takes over and lets me go back and finsh my sleep,it may seem a funny idea, but if you have to go the whole day on just a few hours sleep then it can make you feel pretty groggy.
