Do you buy your kids name brand shoes? I have bought my kids cheaper shoes in the past that didn't last long because they were just too cheaply made. But I think for the most part they last long enough for the kids to outgrow them.

Kids grow so fast that they most often outgrow shoes before they wear them out. I don't buy brand name shoes unless I find them on sale for the same price or less than the less expensive ones. I just can't see spending a lot of money on something he will wear for a few months at most. I'd rather save my money for things that will last longer for him, or buy two pairs of the cheaper ones to have a spare in case one gets wet or lost.

Yeah, I have bought some spares at walmart and the dollar store for $5. They come in handy.

They do,the shoes last longer than the kids feet take to grow lol,We used to always buy good clrks shoes for the kids, they used to have thier feet measured and they had the correct fit and width of shoe, then they used to last them maybe six weeks and we were back to square one, another pair needed because there feet had grown out of them.

They grow so fast it is hard to keep up. The boys have outgrown shoes that look brand new.

I never buy expensive brand name shoes when they are little. My kids always grew out of them so fast it seemed like a waste of money. My son is 8 now, though and his feet are not growing as fast and he is hard on shoes. He does have a pair of Stetchers that were like $45, but he has had them for over a year now.

Expensive shoes are not always the best :D Mostly they are more expensive because of the brand.. Have a nice day..

I usually don't buy my son name brand shoes unless they happen to be on a rack at a thrift store and are in great shape. He has wide feet, so I look more at how the shoe fits and the shape it is in than I do at what company made them. We live pretty thrifty around here and tend to buy a lot of things secondhand. I know that once he's older he might not like getting things used, but sometimes I am amazed at what I can get him used and in great shape at the thrift store. For the price of one shirt new in most stores, I could get him three or four shirts at a thrift store, especially on half price day.

No I don't buy name brand shoes, her feet grow to quick. Once she gets older and just HAS to have them then I will consider it, if I have the money. But for now, while she doesn't care I'm getting the cheap shoes.
