Do you use Hand Sanitizers?

I keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my purse most of the time. I thought that it was good for times when our hands are sweaty or slightly soiled and we couldn't get to water to wash them. Research has shown they are effective if your hands aren't visibly soiled. But the thing is, the finding says that it must be 60% alcohol. I haven't checked to see if those bottles I use are 60% alcohol, which I doubt very seriously. I stil think the tried and true method of cleaning your hands is with warm water and soap. And be sure to wash between your fingers and clean your fingernails. "To keep yourself and your family healthy, it's important to clean your hands, especially after you've used the restroom or prepared food. Vigorously washing your hands with warm water and soap for 20 seconds is still a tried and true method. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers can be a convenient alternative, however, as you can use them on-the-go--after you have been on public transportation, touched an animal or grocery cart, etc. The CDC recommends both hand sanitizing wipes and alcohol based gels." How do you feel about hand sanitizers? Do you use them all the time or just on the go?

I also carry one hand sanitizer in my purse too. It works well especially when you have little kids around. I of course prefer soap and water but hand sanitizer is the alternative.

Yes, I do use them. I bought some from the dollar store. I will put these small bottles in my purse.. I like to keep my hands clean.. These days, you just never know what you may be touching that has germs on it. I also let my kids use this, too.
