Why does the animation on my avatar only show up on my profile?

I just got a new avatar and it has an animated kitten flying from one side of the avatar to the other. It only shows up on my profile page but not on any response or discussions pages. What did I do wrong?

New one seems to be working great! Cheers for starting the topic coz I tried this out and it was only working on my profile too... Now I know..

Yea....I guess the smaller avatars work better for some reason. I am definitely not a computer geek and I'm glad there are others out there to help us out, aren't you?

I like the avatar you have now. From what I have heard some animated gifs are just to big and so they won't load in this system, here. I never do animated avatars soit really does not affect me. Once again GREAT avatar.

it has happened to me also, According to me it is problem with avatars of large size. try some avatar of small size,hope you get succes. that is what i feel. thanks

hello rocketj1. Mine also is a gif type of image and it animates only on my profile, but not in the page discussions. However it is not about what you did wrong, but its probably how small the file is, just my guess. Some of mylotters avatars are animated. some arent.

i might try and make my avatar work. i have to resize it to work. :D ill do some experimentin on my gif software now, lets see if its goin to work on mine as well. lol good work, you had your an animated avatar now. :D

Thanks to you! I have chosen a new one. This is my first time picking out avatars and I probably will change it frequently. That was kinda fun!:)
