Life gets really slow when waiting for something...

My parents have promised me a PSP on my birthday, that is, October 18. I have been urging them to get me a Play Station Portable for something like 6 months and now it has finally come to an end. My current dream has come true.
Now as I am counting the days left in my B'day, I realize that life is moving too slowly. It is like I am in an Adrenaline mode or something. Does the same thing happen to you? Do you experience life getting slow when waiting for someone or something?
Waiting for your responses...

I hate asking my parents for stuff because I know they're going to take forever too! I'm supposed to get a CD and a book for my birthday, but mine is October 5th, they're not going to get it in time, I know it. I also wanted two CDs last Christmas but they didn't get that on time either. They did when I was little, but now they assume I understand. I'm going to get a different CD myself with the Mylot earnings. so I'm going to see what CD comes first, the one I get myself or the birthday one! Then I will see what proves to be more effective, waiting for people or getting stuff myself!

I definitely feel like things get slow when I'm waiting for something. I find that waiting for packages is definitely the worst. I feel like it takes forever to get my package after I order it even though it never is supposed to take that long. Sometimes my birthday seems like it takes forever to get here especially when I am waiting on something big. It all just depends on what I'm waiting on.
