I think that there are some lovely places in Eastern Europe that are worth exploring. My favorite is Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. It has a charming town square, castle, Chinese tower, river with small rapids and it has very quaint streets. I discovered some amazing castles in the Czech Republic. I went to the stunning city of Prague. Another city that I really love is Budapest in Hungary. It has so much history and fascinating sights. Romania is a beautiful country with unspoilt historic cities that are great for exploring like Brasov.
Have you been to Eastern Europe?
If so where? What did you think of it?
If not would you like to go there?
1990 Hungary
1996 Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland
2003 Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia
2006 Bulgaria and Romania
2008 Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia

Hello maximax. It is a very nice experience to travel to so many places and get to know more of different cultures and relics of different countries. I also look forward to it if I have a chance.

I have never been to Eastern Europe however I am eager to visit Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria. I would like to see new places, read their history and learn more about their culture.

You might like to fly to Budapest and then travel around the region by train. I know that you would really find the history interesting and you would see many grand looking buildings. Romania is full of charm and it is reasonably priced. I found the language in Bulgaria difficult but it is a lovely country.
