Omg, I thought that this story was so hillarious. I'm sure he was wondering what was going on. Hospital tells grandfather, 71, that he's pregnant A patient treated for agonizing abdominal pain received this surprising news in the hospital's paperwork: "Based on your visit today, we know you are pregnant." Surprising indeed for 71-year-old John Grady Pippen. The staff at Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach gave the retired mechanic and logger the ridiculously happy news this month, along with some pain pills. Hospital administrator William McMillan says an errant keystroke caused the hospital's computer to spit out the wrong discharge instructions for the grandfather. How would you feel if something like this was told to you and then eventually find out later that the hospital messed up with your records. I would be devistated in a way because my husband and I are trying to have a baby. Cause when they first told me, I'd be all excited, then later to find out it was a lie. Yea.

I think if I was a man I'd know right off the bat that it was an error but as a woman it would probably play h*ll with my emotions depending on whether or not I wanted to be pregnant. I think hospitals should really be more careful when handing out this type of result and actually depend on a doctor to do it and not a computer. In that case that I really do not have any child at all and in the time I was in the hospital and then they give a wrong result for sure i would be angry with the management for I am waiting it for a very long time but if i do have a children and then they would tell me this situation i think I would also ask on how it happened when i am already old and do not have a monthly period already(wife).....

Hospital discharge instructions are often wrong. If end up in the emergency room or spend any time in the hospital, I always make sure it's one where my family doctor can be a part of the treatment. Or I go to the family doctor (or even call) to make sure the treatment is correct. She knows my health history best.

That story is so funny and yet so worrying. I have a friend who is pregnant for the first time. At eight weeks, she started to bleed, and went to hospital where they examined her and told her that she had probably miscarried. They were about to send her home, when she asked to have a scan - the staff were surprised but after a while agreed. The baby was still alive! If she had not demanded a scan, she would have gone home and been inconsolable for weeks. If she were then still pregnant how long until they found out, and didn't put it down to being upset about the miscarriage? No apology was received from the hospital. I am disgusted that the treatment we get sometimes is so lacking, but there again, she was in the UK, so she should count herself lucky that she got out without a major infection and with both of them alive and well.

I can honestly say that if anyone no matter who they are told me that I was pregnant, the first thing I would do is ask them to make sure that they did it right, and if they said they did, I would demand that they do it again. I would hate to take pills for no reason, and I would probably try to sue them if I did.

I heard from my science teacher that an old woman claims that she can photosynthesis. But then the reporters and the hidden camera found out she sneak up about 1 o clock to eat
