When I was growing up, we didn't have TV in the house.
Not for a really long time, anyway.
The first TV show that I can remember seeing was
the Smurfs on the neighbors TV set.
I was only about four years old at the time.
What was the first TV show or movie that you watched
on TV? Do you remember?

I loved that Dragnet.
I saw most of the Dragnet episodes in rerun
when I was a teen.
Haven't seen it in ages.
Man, those guys sure talked fast.
Lots of story in one little half hour show.
Really good stuff, though.

The first kids TV series that I can recall was the local kids TV series "si Unyil" it is a puppet show about the life of a kid named si Unyil. It was a long time ago, maybe when I was a only 3-4 years old. LOL this discussions really remind me about my childhood. I used to like this movie so much, I can still remember the jingle of this series. Now it is remade but it isn't as good and as popular like it used to be.

That's so cool!
I loved this show called Shirt tales when I was a kid.
It was a cartoon about woodland animals that solved mysteries.
The girl racoon was my favorite. I had a notebook binder with her picture on it.
But, then they added an annoying kangaroo character and the charm
kind of wore off.
Thanks for reminiscing with me!

Hanna Montana is a little mature!
You're right about that.
More like something for preteens.
I can see your concern.

My daughter adores Sesame Street and Elmo
and she just discovered Curious George on PBS.
She freaked out!

I do not remember what I watched the first time. I remember being 4 and dancing with American Band stand. I remember being that young and seeing the Christmas specials when I was sick one Christmas. But as far as the first thing on TV that I watched I do not remember.

We had a TV all my life so far as I can remember, but the first show I remember watching was Scooby Doo. I was about 4 when I watched that show on a daily basis. My older brother would often switch to his shows during commercial and never go back. We always fought over that.

I've never seen that one before.
But, I used to love watching World War 2 movies.
Odd for a girl to like war movies.
But, they're way more dramatic than any
soap opera.

We had TV, but it was always a source of arguments in my family. If two people wanted to watch something at the same time, there was a big fight, therefore I tried to stay away from TV.
I do remember a kids show I used to like in Canada, called Polka Dog Door.
As for movies, I don't remember seeing any at home, but I remember seeing 101 Dalmations in the theater.

I don't remember the first TV show I ever saw on TV. We didn't have cable, but I always remember my family getting together on Thursday nights to watch The Cosby Show. My parents were very careful about what my sister and I watched. But on Thursday nights our entire family watched that show.

I don't really remember watching much TV as a child, although we did have a set when I was young. My parents used to video the Mr Men programmes for me, and I remember watching Trumpton and Camberwick Green with my Dad too.
I don't imagine that you've ever heard of these programmes, having grown up in a different country?
When I was a bit older I remember watching my first 'grown up' series. There was an adaptation of Kidnapped which was shown over a couple of programmes and I thought it was fabulous. It really sparked my imagination, and I remember being bought the sound track on record which was one of my very first records.

I dont remember the first show or movie I saw but I have been watching The Bill ever since I was young. I think when I was young I only watched cartoons, dont think I got into shows until I was probably about 6 or 7!!
