What if your money this month is short. And you have two unpaid bills electricity and water. Your money can only pay one of it. Which one your first priority? Can you live without electricity? Or Can you live without water?

I think I would have to pay electric, we had a horrible storm that knocked out the power in our town and surrouding cities for up to 2 weeks the 14th of this month, believe me when you sit in the dark for many nights from sunset to sunrise you realize and appriaciate having electric. You can't do much of anything but just sit in the canle light. No TV, no computer, no reading unless you got a really good flashlight with a lot of batteries. And no cooking if you are total electric, and no heat either. I can make a deal to get water from the neighbor if I was to have to do that, or take a shower at my daughter's. But I would have to say electric.

I understand that everyone has its own reason why you chose that. But what if no one will help you shared their water cause they know you dont have money. What ever reason you said, your neighbors are so selfish not letting you share their water. Yes you have budget but its enough for food supply. No more extra budget to buy water. Can you live and go for work without taking a shower for 1 month? Without something to drink before you sleep.

If you live in the same country as mine, you will likely to choose to pay for water first than your electricity, why? because they charge more when the water supply is disconnected.

I'll pay the electricity first, because if i didn't have electricity then i can not be on here at mylot. But seriously, it's the electricity, we have a water pump, which we can use for taking a bath and washing, clothes, dishes and for cleaning. For our deinking water we have mineral water supply from my daughter's godparents so it would not be a real problem if we did not have water for quite some time. But we can not handle being without elkectricity, it will be vary hard for all of us.

that's a hard question. but i will choose electricty. i think it is more important, i can't live without electricty, i will use computer and watch tv to kill the boring time, i think the spirit food is more important. even water is the most important thing in our life. by the way, if it happen in summer, maybe i will think more, because i can't take shower, haha

I guess I'm currently pretty lucky due to the fact that my landlord pay's for my water and trash. Me and my husband only pay for electricity & natural gas here . But once years ago when I shared a house with two other people, the water was almost turned off because nobody had the money to pay it (except me!) so I had to empty out my bank account to pay a $400.00 water and trash bill to keep my water. Oh boy that made me so mad,bad roommates are awful! But I think I would rather have my electricity then water because I could just go outside and turn my neighbors hose on if I needed water bad enough or use the water hose on my building and buy bottle water at the store and for showers and baths I could just go to my family or friends house to bathe or shower. Also my son freaks out when we have no electricity because he's autistic and hates the dark. And it seems like almost every time there is lighting from a thunderstorms here where I live it knocks out our electricity and we sit in the dark for 2-5 hours waiting for it to get fixed and it's terrible because my son is upset most of the time and it's hot and humid and dark ( Of course it only happens in the evening when it's dark!...lol).

my priority would be the electricity, because you can get virtually anything you want from it heating, cooking etc, water can be bought from the shops or even if you are desperate nipping round to your neighbours and borrow some here in the uk well in the area i live we get charged a standard rate for water so it doesnt matter how much you use, and even if you dont pay they dont cut it off either i knew an aunt of mine who didnt pay for over a year and never had it cut off

Without electricity is still OK, but I will think this as a funny question to compare electricity with water! hhahahahhaha Without water ? No no no no ! probably in place of water we should have thought of telephone bill. that would have been reasonable to answer. Water is an elixir of life told by C.V Raman and all of us! Good question jayson. Happy mylotting.

Ive never been in that situation before but if i was id say water probably. there is always ways to get water from someone. so i think id stick with paying my electricity and do without paying water bill however they do give a short amount of time to actually pay it with a late fee add of course.

i wil pay for the water. in the old times, people can still live without electircity. but for the water, people can't live maybe for one day. so if you want to live, you should pay for the water bill.

Pay the electricity. I can pick up a gallon of water for cheap at wal mart. I need electricity to keep the kids warm and to cook.
