Why Does God Demand the Death of so Many Innocent People in the Bible?? # 3...

Exodus 35:2 - God demands that we kill anyone who works on the sabbath... Exodus 21:18-21 - God demands that we kill disobedient teens... Leviticus 20:13 - God demands the death of homosexuals... Deuteronomy 22:13-21 - God demands that we kill girls that are not vigins when they marry... And so on, there are many more. It doesn't make any sense does it? Why would a loving god want us to murder our fellow human beings over such trivial matters? Just because you work on the wrong day of the week, you must die? it makes NO sense. In fact, if you think about it, its insane. Whats your rationalization?

Because God is a Holy God and cannot even look at sin. That was the attitude of God in the old testament but after the lord Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sins, God had turned into loving father because the penalty for sin has been paid. God can now look at people and would not see their sins because the blood of Jesus covered their sins.

Hi letsplayfast, Firstley, welcome to Mylot and hope you will a lot of happy hours here and make a lot of friends too. Now going back to this bible, God never wrote the bible only men did men kills not God. God would not kill his own childred only men kills men. God did not Demand man to kill because he as set a rule down saying "Thou Shall Not Kill" but men still goes on killing. If you think it was God who wrote the bilbe well he has contridicted himself hasen't he? so the bible was written by men who makes their own rules as there went along. Tamara
