i had my first computer when i was 15 years old in high school. It was an XT with 2 51/2 floppy drive and a CGA(4 colour) monitor. The memory if i recall properly is 512kb. The processor is known as 8086. at that time, it was considered a high end PC. The games i was playing were loderunner, digger and pacman. the games were hot in those days. i got my second pc about 1 year later, it was an AT286. i do not know the speed or the processing speed. the only thing i knew was the monitor is a EGA(16 colour)monitor and suddenly, my world come alive with much more colours. haha. The games i was playing which were hot were lakers vs celtic, double-dragon, Romance of three kingdom, might and magic etc. soon, the VGA and SVGA monitor emerged into the scene. My AT286 became obsolete very soon with 386 and 486 progressing to take over. My first time surfing the net was in 1993-4 with a modem using a 486 system. before i knew it, is is already a thing of the past about 20years ago and here we are, connecting with each other all over the world with computer so much more powerful and internet connections so much faster. i begin to wonder what will it be like in another 10 years. your tots?

Yes, I am actually on my first real computer as of now. I have a Dell Dimension 4600. With a flat 15' screen monitor. I have Windows XP 98. I also have Firefox for my browser! It is the best computer that I could have. But, I would like to get an laptop. I prefer this one better.

haha. what a stark contrast to my 1st computer. how i envy you. i only got my 1st lcd monitor about 5 years ago. i had a HP laptop but i do not really like to use them. kind of small and difficult to operate. i been to the mall and realised that the laptop nowadays are getting smaller but much more powerful and not too costly. i heard a lot of complaints about dell computer, do you face any?
