a lot of us when we were kids had good grades and if not, we were in the honors of our class :) but most of us have lost them because of all the distractions in our teenage lives; having crushues, to going out, to being in a relationship, etc til we all forgot about studying. hehehe i was never in the honor roll because i was one of the naughty but nice kids though i became classe president for 3 school years! hahahaha did you have honors? :)

I was a very good student when I was my on my elementary days. I was the class president and the valedictorian of my batch. I was able to pass a qualifying exam for a science high school even if I only came from a public school. But parents really have a great impact on kids. Since I don't have parents who look after me, but I have my doting grandmother, the pressures of studying of being a teenager took its toll on me. I thought I wouldn't be able to graduate but my father who realized that I need support pushed me to be strong so I was able to graduate. Then I got more matured and went to college. I was a dean's lister for a year and a scholar. But I had to work and that really affected my studies so I lost my scholarship and my academic status. But I still graduated and landed on a pretty good job.

Yeah i was almost always on the honor roll. I even graduated high school with an honors diploma. I was an odd child who was more worried about getting in to college then being in a relationship.

I actaully had a really hard time in school and my grades were low but the one subject I was good in was English . I wanted to take the Academic English but when I joined the class the teacher basically told me I was too stupid for his class and that I was not allowed to take it . I wrote a test and I passed it but barely and he basically kicked me out of his class because he said I woudln`t be able to do the work that was required of me beause all my other courses were general . I had no choice but to switch into the general because he would not allow me in his class and ended up highest in my class . I never had to write an exam and graduated with honors , the highest in my class . I could have did his class he just didn`t want anyone that was not a perfect stutent in his class .

really?? what kind of a person is that?? he/she is just plain mean. he did not have the heart to teach and give students a cahnce to prove themseleves worthy of such. he should not have been a teacher if he thinks some people are not worthy of studying or even just to try. to be honest, i feel bad right now.

I had mostly A's and B's and then a few C's. Occasionally I would get a D or a F. Mostly A-C though. I almost always failed history because I wasn't good at it. Most of the time I didn't make honors because of the one or two C's that I had gotten. So my grades weren't bad but they could have been better.

I had honors back then and thank goodness I still had them in High School. I tried hard to maintain having good grades all the way to college and I still had them but too bad I didn't receive an honor back in college but anyway graduating from a premiere University is more than enough.

yup its better to have steady grades or keeping it high as possible without pressuring yourself too much and graduating from a premiere university is really good enough.

haha... this really reminds of my old days in middle school, and I miss it so much. I was in the honor roll for 3 consecutive years in middle school, 6th, 7th, and 8th. With that being said, I wanted to graduate high school with honor grad as well. I think I was determined to graduate with honor roll in high school as well. I really wouldn't blame my parents for me not having good time in high school, but I HATED my high school life in Georgia, and I just wanted go back to Michigan BADLY. So when I was in high school, I really didn't give a rat's @$$ about honor grad, and I didn't really take any of my courses seriously. (I'm sorry mom and dad, but I just couldn't help it lol) I really didn't get distracted by going out with friends or having crushes or being in a relationship kind of thing, but I just faded away from my determination to graduate with honor roll in high school. I'm like... who gives a darn about honor grad?? It's not going to matter too much in the real world (maybe, maybe not) but yea, I really didn't care about not being able to graduate with honor roll in high school, and I really don't regret it too much. But I still miss my middle school year, and high school... kind of.

Yes, it was at the time when I was studying in class 9th in High School! The then Governor of our state was the chief guest in our school annual function. I was honoured for my good marks in my studies as well as regularity in school in that colourful evening. I was presented by the Governor with a set of four books on general reading those were in my local language 'Oriya'. Such a day is always a memorable day for me for years to come! Thanks for this nice discussion!

When i was in grade three i was third honor and i can't really remember the ribbons or which subject they are. Grade four i was second honor and 2nd place with the rizal day contest. Its a contest about the life of our national hero Jose Rizal i've competed with 30 different schools. Grade five i was still 2nd honor and first place in rizal day contest. Grade five i got a lot of medals and ribbons then. Grade six was the same but come high school...oh lets forget it!hahaha i became one of the notorious students in our school. It was a catholic school and i was always the one to pray in front of Mother Mary outside the classroom and I was kneeling down in the corridor. It was because i am often times late! LOL THanks and happy mylotting!

I was a consistent honor student during my entire school life. From elementary to highschool, I was a honor student every term. And in college, I would usually make it to the dean's list every semester. I also graduated with honors from elementary to highschool to college. I am not really a geek or a study freak. I would just attend every class, listen to the professor, submit the necessary requirements. I would only study when I feel like I am going to fail a subject. Or when the lessons are really hard and that I did not understand the lecture of the teacher.

Yes I am. During my grade school years I am constantly at the third spot. And I graduated First Honorable. When I was in high school I still able to maintain my standings, and again I have been in the third spot and graduated First Honorable. When I step up college, I made it to the dean's list. Basically, my academic years are peppered and highlighted with honors. That's was really amazing specially for my parents as I have been able to reward their supports towards me. I always thought its the best I could do for them.

well, i was a good student through over my study time..and thank God i'm already done with my undergraduate study few weeks ago..and hopefully i'll start my master program on this coming Dec... in terms of the distractions and stuff; to be honest with you, i do have lots of crushes who want to be in relations with me..but i didn't take it seriously though.. i used to play around..till i fallen in the middle of misery on my final year and especially in my last semester! despite the fact of being the last important semester, i did for the first time fall in love..although it was sweet but it got me out of focus sometime...but luckily i did manage myself and graduated with honors... beside falling in love, i had faced some matters related with friends, and other stuff as well... Smiley,

Sometimes I bombed (did poorly) my classes, and sometimes I got honors. I guess I was just flaky in High School.

Yes, I do have honors in my elementary school. Always got medals from kinder to grade 6. In high school except 2nd year, I don't have any honors but I always belong to star section in our school and one of the scholar. It was a science oriented section that the school only have two sections every year level.

yup, I belonged to the honor society in all of my elementary years. I was always among the top 5 students. When I entered high school, I felt like I was missing out a lot on life. I wanted to broaden my horizons by joining extra-curricular activities. I wanted to be good at other things other than academics. So, I stopped being in the honor roll after the freshman year. But, I entered different clubs in school and I was the president of the English club and the editor-in-chief of the school paper. I realized I was happier being out of the honor list. Expectations were not so high anymore, and i get to do things I really like without having to worry about my grades. My mom wasn't as happy, of course. lol!

ive been in the honor roll from grade school until high school, one of reasons why i study hard those days was at the end of school year we have this commencement exercises and if we have honors we tend to receive gift from our parents and relatives, lol. And also if you are good at school you parents would feel great and that was a great feeling also on my part knowing they are happy, too sad that when im in college i forgot about it especially when i started going out with friends and eventually having boyfriends, weeeeeee, hahahah!! but right now ive learned my lessons, ive finish my school and i have a good job right now. HAPPY MYLOTTING

Never had one in my entire life (embarrassed). From elementary to high school, I went to a private school, one of the outstanding schools in the city. During our graduation (4th year high school), we don't have any candidate even with an honor. There were academic awards such as Math wizard and the likes but no one gained for an Honors' list. That's how standard our school was. We don't have high grades yet we all passed the University Entrance exam.

i'm proud to say i did. i was in national honor society back in all my high school years. i was doing very well the first three years of high school. but during my senior year, i began skipping school and sometimes my so called bf would pick me up from the bus stop and i would never make it to school (my mom, until now, doesnt know anything about it). so you know my grades plummeted. but i still graduated with honors and a scholarship to a local college. by the way, i married that boy and still with him.
