i've seen someone teaching how to make it on tv. and for me i find it iwerd and interesting at the same time. it is not the usual sauce and cheeze but healthy fruits. i am not much of a fruit eater but i think a lot of kids will like to help out their parents on preparing one and it would be a wonderful desert. it can also be pared with ice cream. next week my wife will try to make one, just like i said i am not much of a fruit eater but i will try to have a bite, for she will be using some of my favorite fruits.

Aside from the traditional hawaiian pizza, I've never had any other fruit on my pizza. I guess with the right sauce it will be yummy. :) After all, pizza's just like bread and there are so many delicious pastries with fruits out there. It seems that many people are trying to reinvent the old pizza. A few days ago I saw someone making chocolate pizza on tv. it had strawberries and mangoes and lots of white chocolate shavings on top.

I had this at a Homecoming at church a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome. Here goes. The crust is a sugar cookie rolled out thin and bakd. Then you mix cream cheese and sugar on the top of it and then add your fruit. The one I had was kiwi, strawberries, grapes and pineapple. You could use any fruit you wanted. Too simple huh? Good Luck

yes simple but i am not much of a sour fruit eater so i will take off the kiwi and the pineapple. so i can use banana and apples to replace that. my wife did some last saturday and she made it with mangoes and apples. our child loves it so much and he eats it with ice cream. thanks a lot for the response

You use a sugar cookie crust and top it with I think it's cream cheese or coolwhip an then add all sorts of fruits. it is a really good dessert. i made one last year for a super bowl party. I thought it was really good and tasted gereat. I wihs I could make one every year. it is a tasty treat.

I never actually tried the fruit pizza, but I have tried some pizzas that has the actual fruits (especially diced pineapples or something of that sort) layed on the pizza as a topping (I'm pretty sure everybody who at least ate pizza have tried this) but that's pretty much it. I really have not heard of the actual fruit pizza, nor I have never tried it. It does sound interesting, and at the same time, it's probably like one of those fruit pies or something of that sort. (right? lol)

hmm, fruit pizza, not quite heard it or see one. I don't know if I like it or not, it seems unusual for a pizza for me. Actually, think that perhaps, it wouldn't be that delicious like the pizza that I know. But I will try to have a bite I guess, just to satisfy my curiosity.

I LOVE fruit pizza. Its a great dessert, and a fun one to take to parties. Its not really pizza though, which many don't understand. Its crust is made of cookie dough, the "sauce" is made with cream cheese and powdered sugar, and the toppings are all kinds of fresh fruits sliced and laying on top. I haven't made on in years since it does take some time to do.

Yes, I have tried it and it is delicious. The crust is made from sugar cookie dough and then there is a creme cheese topping with fruit (strawberries, kiwi, whatever you choose) on top. I would have to actually look at the recipe to see, but I think there might be a glaze that goes over the top (but that might just be in my mind, I just can't remember). Anyway it is good, you should try it! Best wishes!

I make a fruit pizza for many special events and people love it. I roll out sugar cookie dough as the "crust." After baking the crust and letting it cool down completely, I spread some kind of cream cheese over it and add fruit slices. I use strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and mandarin oranges. It's a very bright and colorful dish and tastes delicious.

I am in malaysia and the local people here like sweet in every food. The food actually look good but when you eat its damn sweet and I dont like it at all. I use to think everytime I ate here that this dosnt look sweet almost all thier food was having sugar in it. So i started hating that. And once i went to the Pizza hut and I ordered chicken Pizza, when i started eating that there was pineapple in it, which was a bit sweet, i went out of the restaurants without having food. So after all this incident I can not even think of having fruit pizza. lolz

hi rizzu. i've been in malaysia also already and i love nasi goreng and a lot more food that can be eaten with rice. i think you are mistaken of what kind of pizza i am talking about. i am not a fruit eater so i dont eat pizza (meat) with pine apple. the fruit pizza is not made from sauce and cheese like the regular pizza we know. here is a site http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Fruit-Pizza-I/Detail.aspx that can help you see what i was talking about. thanks a lot for the response and thank you too for dropping by

Eating Pizza - Eating Pizza at the pool
We made fruit pizza in my high school home economics class. Its just a large sugar cookie with fruit on top. Its good for a desert, but I prefer a really yummy cheesy pizza with mushrooms on top.

Hi se7enthbird, though I haven’t tasted fruit pizza before, I still believe it must be quite delicious as I love fruits as well. I couldn’t find any fruit pizza in the restaurant or food stalls here yet. When having pizza outside I usually order veggies pizza. The most delicious ingredient in it is pineapple. Actually pineapple is a fruit, right. I think it would be a yummy fruit pizza if all the ingredients used except the pineapple, are replaced by other fruits instead of the vegetables like carrot, tomato, onion, broccoli etc. posting and take care.

I have tried fruit pizza once. It was filled with pineapples and other fruits and vegetables in it. I like it somehow but of course, I like the regular pizzas with meat and stuff. I actually crave for pizza coupled with ice cream. Wow.

Interesting topic se7enthbird! Actually, the only fruit I have ever tried on a pizza before was pineapple and I really love it! It is very good but I cannot really imagine any other types of fruits on a regular pizza with cheese & sauce. But, I guess you are referring to some special kind of so-called "pizza" where it is just fruit and more of a dessert. That sounds like it could be good but I guess giving it the name pizza kind of makes you think "Yuck"! I like going to this one pizza buffet restaurant around here that is called CiCi's Pizza and they have dessert pizzas. I think they have it in apple and cherry. They drizzle a sweet frosting on top and it is served warm. It is pretty good sometimes but not really one of my favorite things as far as desserts are concerned. I am more of a chocolate person! I like just about anything with chocolate on it... can't really imagine a chocolate pizza though! LoL! Can you?!

the fruits are not topped on the regular pizza with sauce and cheese and meat. the dough for the fruit pizza is a cookie dough and it is with cream or yogurt then fruits. i myself love pizza so much but when i saw a cook made this on tv it made me think of a good topic here at mylot. chocolate pizza? why not but i would rather use pitta bread. here is a site than can help see what i meant http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Fruit-Pizza-I/Detail.aspx hope this can help. thanks a lot for the response

We had our first fruit pizza about 15 years ago. A friend from church was beginning to work for Pampered Chef and that's one of the choices she had as something to demonstrate using the pizza stone to cook the cookie crust. I make it about once a month and don't make it the same twice.
