Would you inject yourself with a serum that will give you special abilities ?

The season premiere of HEROES was on NBC last Monday. A lot of things happen on HEROES. One thing that make me ponder is that Suresh, a good guy, want to inject himself so that he can have super power. ANd it got me thinking.. If it was me, would I do it? When I was little, I really really want to be a superhero like SUPERMAN, to fly around and save the world. But I don't have any special skills. When I was watching HEROES, I can't believe Suresh would want to do that, to inject himself with that serum. But I asked myself, would I want to do that? And deep deep down, I do really want to inject myself with that serum. Knowing the side effects beforehand, I think I would do it too. I guess I really want superpower so bad. I want to be somebody that make a difference. ANd I would risk it. If given the chance, would you inject yourself with a serum that will give you special abilities like, strength, speed, flight, fire power, healing, etc... (sorry. My english grammar is not very good. )

Oh I loved the back to back episodes this season. I think Heroes is definitely back! It would have helped if I watched the finale before watching the new episodes though because I forgot everthing that happened! Anyway, I would be weary of using myself as a lab rat. I think Suresh is a scientists first and foremost so he always wants to experiment and stuff. But look what happened to him. I'd never take anything even if it promises me super powers unless there's a detailed manual on what it will do to me and what i can do to remove it or stop it in the future.

I forgot most of the stuff that happen on last season too. Like I totally forgot that Nathan was shot. And when I saw the first episode again I was like , "oh yeah. I remember now. " hehhee Back to the question.. I am like Suresh in a way that I like to experiment on things. I really want to know what it is like to do something extraordinary. I want excitement. I know there are side effect and consequences to the serum, but me I would take that risk. That is just me. Everyone is different. Most people like to play it safe. If I didn't want to be a superhero so bad ever since I was a little kid, I would hesitate too. Thanks for the response. :D

I haven't seen the recent episode... but i was shocked when i read the recap about Suresh injecting himself with the serum... and getting super strength... but i think the side effects are bad... Well, if i am given that choice... i would want the ability to fly... but i can't imagine what the side effects would be... so i would really think twice and even thrice before i do it...

I am not sure if I could do that or not. I would definitely think about it hard.

why not? Imagine any power that you can have. Wouldn't it be wonderful if you can fly? No more high gas prices. No more airplane. You can go anywhere. Just up up and away... :D

Yes I would inject myself with that serum. but I disagree that I need to be a super hero to make a difference. I can still be me but make a difference with the effect I have on people.

Yes you are right. You don't need to be a superhero to make a difference. I just like the power. Oh.. the awesome power. To be able to fly, to heal, to conjure up a storm, great strenght, invisibility, to conjure up fire, water... etc.. But I don't have that ability, that gene. I am not a mutant. But with a serum like that... that would be awesome. That formula that Hiro trying to get back... is the formula to give people power. I wonder if that has any side effect. I think Niki and Tracy Strauss are the product, the lab rats of that formula.. and they don't seems to have any side effect. I want my hand on that formula too. :D

I would like to believe that I would not inject myself with such a serum. The risks involved are too severe for me.

Hi. I'm a big fan of Heroes Anyway, i dont think i'd inject myself with superpowers. I think it would cause me more trouble. I mean, not one superhero is happy with their life. As Spiderman's uncle Ben says, With great power comes great responsibility

I might, if it had been tested out on something/one else beforehand, making sure there were no terrible side affects or anything. I also have a huge fear of needles, which I would need to deal with beforehand.
