So I hate to go grocrey shopping while Iam hungry it seems everything I wouldnt normally eat looks so tastey including the junk that I usually try to steer away from , it seems each time I go while hungry I buy extra stuff and I spend more money than I anticipated then I get home I eat and that stuff I just bought sets there untouched why because I wasnt letting my brain make the decsion I let that growling tummy make it. Does this ever happen to you?

I really try not to do that but sometimes my schedule and the craziness of the day just do not allow me to go shopping when I'm not hungry. Sometimes, I spend all day shopping and then when I finally hit the grocery store, I'm hungry so it's pretty much a lose-lose situation. I just try my hardest not to go hungry or make it a point not to buy anything especially when I know I have food at home that would be perfectly fine for eating.

I have made the mistake of shopping when I was hungry many times. I end up spending way more on groceries than I usually do and I always end up with a bunch more junk. I have gotten to where I try to go grocery shopping right after a meal. That way my 2 year old and I are both full and are paying attention to the shopping list and not to what our hunger panes are telling us to get. I have noticed that my son is a lot better in the store when he is not hungry. He seems to be more satisfied and willing to shop.

I no longer shop when I am hungry. I used to do that, and I would buy anything that looked really yummy. I would end up spending more money than I had planned. Now, I always eat before I go that way, my tummy doesn't allow me to say "I need this. It looks yummy!" or "You need that because you're hungry!" If I don't have a chance to eat before I go, I chew gum while shopping. The gum curbs my hunger and I spend within or below the budget I had planned.

So, so true I have done that so many times.I always say I bet you I never go shopping while being hungry again, then I end up doing it again.I get home and have so much junk and look for real food and say gosh all I got was junk nothing good to eat. Then I will usually have to make another trip during the week to get more food.

I'm not sure if I buy more when I'm hungry because I haven't really paid attention to that, but my stomach keeps growling nonstop. All I can think about is how hungry I am. It is very miserable and try to avoid it all costs, but it can be so hard to always eat when your so busy all the time.

i definitely buy so much junk when i go to the store hungry! they say it really is the worst thing you can do- it causes you to not only buy things that are unhealthy for you, but to spend more money as well. i am a case in point of that! i try not to do it, but sometimes it can't be avoided. i also will end up bringing home all this junk, which wouldn't be so bad if i actually ate it, but most of the time i will eat a little and then it sits in the cupboard or fridge or wherever and the rest goes untouched. it drives my husband crazy! :) i just think of all the money i have wasted doing that, though, and it drives me nuts, too. :)
