I was thinking about life the other day..thought about the what ifs, the might haves and what not. I often wonder how life would have been if i stayed in law. Wonder how life would have been had i never met my xhusband, so on and so forth. All this lead me to start thinking about how much control i had over the way my life was and what it is now. On this note, my question to you fine folks is How much have you controlled the course your life has taken?

There was a time when I just sort of let life happen to me. Circumstances woke me up, and now I make it happen FOR me. Taking control is liberating and makes us better and stronger people. We all think about the what-ifs, but if we take control of ives, we don't regret them!

good comment cobraT, thank you for your thoughts. I do my best to control what i can in my life, like you though, in some cases, some thing just gotta be let alone to happen on their own. I know i cant call the cards on every movement in my life, but, its nice to know i can atleast plan better for my next hand once i have been dealt those cards.. lol hope that makes sense

That's the funny thing about life - we'll never know what might have happened if we'd done things differently. If we'd married someone else, we would have had completely different children - and be living in a different town or country - and would probably even have different hobbies and interests. We definitely DO have control - we can choose who we wish to marry, and whether to accept a certain job or not - but we'll never know whether life would have made us happier if we'd played our cards a different way. It's interesting to think about, though!

HIya guybrush, thanks for your comment :) Yup, i agree...there are just too many things in life you cannot prepare for and things that just come outta nowhere to have much control over what gos on. I figure as long as we have no regrets, life is good :)
