How did you first get started recording video and placing them on YouTube?

Because I'm not too technologically smart, I do not yet have a YouTube account. But I am thinking more and more about becoming involved with YouTube. My problem is that I have never recorded video before. I do have a good digital camera that records short videos, but believe it or not, I've never tried to do it. I've also seen all the new little camcorders out there and they look pretty cool. Tell me how you got started recording video. Was it difficult? Or did you learn it in one day? Also, what was your first experience getting a video onto YouTube like? If you aren't involved with YouTube, are you like me--would you like to be?

No I haven't tried and record video for putting on youtube before, it's just because basically I don't know what to record! *laughs* I noticed that there are some cameras which enable the youtube function and that should be really easy to do.

It doesn't take long to learn. I learned in five minutes....I do a yearly video on my window's movie maker each year for my granddaughter and want videos included. My daughter in law is savy in these areas so she taught me. I haven't done a youtube but that is definately in my future....

Hi jillhill. I'm glad to hear it's not too hard to learn. Wow, five minutes, you must be a quick learner! Your yearly video sounds like a blast to do. I so want to do the YouTube thing, but don't know if I'll ever get around to it. I'm tempted to buy one of those little camcorders just to see if I can do it.

Gee, I was hoping you'd have more responses, I was hoping to learn, too. But good to hear that it isn't too hard.
