How to tear yourself away from the Internet?

I've been going online for many hours lately and frankly, I don't like it at all! I spend as much free time as possible online by visiting other blogs, working on my blogs even though they look fine, and just doing other unimportant stuff online. When I remember to look at the clock, I'll be like, What??? I've been online for almost four hours???!!! Unbelievable. time really flies when you're online. So how do I stop myself from staying too long on the Internet? I really want to do other stuff like reading and doing homework, housework, etc. Anything besides going online. What about you? Do you find it hard to not go online for too long? Tell me all about it!

i turn off the computer. i guess that's the best thing to do so you can refrain from using the computer longer than what you want. try reading a book after you have shut down your computer or even texting your friends. just find something that will give you more fun than the computer does. lol

I am also addicted to internet. I know it is not good to spend too much time infront of computer, but just I can't help myself. Many times I tried to stop this habit, it seems no escape from internet. Anyway internet is also a good timepass. Atleast we are not spoiling ourselves doing antisocial activities outside.

I find it very hard to stay away from my computer for too long a time, mainly because I use it to stay in touch with people, and to earn money. Thanks to MyLot i can do both at the same time. I also use my computer to do research, and a lot of other things. the computer is really wonderful, and I hate to tear myself away from it.
