a sick, senseless murder in a small town

Hi all! Yesterday afternoon in our town, we had three people murdered. The victims were three young people in their early twenties and the suspect was a man in his late fifties. This was the talk of the town all night and possibly for a long time. The murder happened in an apartment building and it was all over loud music playing. Apparently the young tenants were playing their music too loud constantly and neighbors were complaining, including the man that shot them. Nothing was getting done so instead of doing the right thing by calling the police on them, he went back downstairs to his apartment, grabbed his gun and went back upstairs and shot each person there three times. Then afterwards, went back to his apartment and waited for the police to show up. We live in a small town, so something like this is very tragic to the community. When I read the full story in our paper this morning, two of the tenants were engaged to be married, in fact they were supposed to have gotten married today. What a tragedy! The police arrested the man without incident and hopefully it will be a quick trial to prosecute. I can understand frustration when you live in an apartment building and have disrespectful neighbors, but would you do something that drastic? I know I wouldn't. Have a great day all!

Wow, that is a sad story. The man probably got fed up with the music and snapped, although that is NO EXCUSE for killing people. Wow, I don't even know what to say about that. Very sad.

Very saddening news indeed. I too live in a small town and know the feeling. Thankfully since moving here there hasn't been anything that gruesome happen around here. We did about a week and a half or two weeks ago have a man holding his step mother hostage by shotgun about 6 blocks from our house. I don't know what to think about this world anymore. Things keep getting crazier and crazier. Maybe that's why I stay in my home with doors locked, even during daylight. I would never do anything that drastic. I am one that would phone the police about it and deal with it that way. This only adds to the list of reason why I would never be interested in living in an apartment building.

A lot of young people have no respect for anyone and may well have mouthed off to this guy daring him to make them stop. If it was an ongoing problem, it might have (and apparently was) the straw that broke the camel's back. But, that doesn't make it right to do. It just means I can understand being provoked incessantly by people who don't care about anything but what they want, screw everyone around them. They do exist and it seems to be getting worse. But, again - murder wasn't the answer. He should have stood in the hall with his phone calling the police and let them hear the noise over the phone because they probably would have turned it down the minute they knew the police were coming. The other neighbors could have then come out to support the caller demanding that something be done.
