Virus Or No Virus Protection?

We had gone many years without getting virus protection, but someone recently told us that might be why our computer crashed, so we invested in virus protection when I purchased my laptop and loaded it on all of our computers. Do you have virus protection or do you go it alone?

Ofcourse I have nowadays virus and malware protection! You can't be careful enough these days. There even are some sites who are hijacking your clipboard, to see if your copying your credit card numbers, which is terrible ofcourse if it would happen to you. Last time when I didn't had virus protection, I've had a terrible virus who was disabling task manager..regedit and other stuff as well! I found out that the virus was malware and a trojan horse as well, which has been infecting all my files. (over 40000 viruses!) There even was inside that virus a typing record program, who was saving and sending out EVERYTHING I have been typing! Luckily, I don't own internet banking, cos' that would have been a terrible thing as well! I really think nowadays NOONE should even consider not having anti-virus software, because it's stupid to not have it. Every single computer will be some day infected with a virus if you don't have protection for it. Even if you ARE careful. Because viruses can be hanging around everywhere..in pictures, videos, mails and more. So everyone should really consider investin in virus protection, cos' you will need it! Especially when you like downloading on P2P software..

Earlier i didn't had any anti-virus. I think if we use a secure browser like opera and firefox, most of the problems can be overcome. But there is always a risk when we are browsing without any protection so now i use AVG antivirus. I think it will protect my system from virus.

A few years ago, I didn't see the need for virus protection. I had a firewall up but no virus protection. I didn't have any because it took up too much resources and my computer was slowing down. I installed some virus protection when I finally got infected by a trojan. Ever since then, I'd always have a virus scanner installed on my system.

well,if one doesnt do some secret works on his PC,then i think he need not to worry much, he can format it after every one or two months if he feel it is getting slowed down, but if one does some secret works, then i think it is must to have a antivirus,, as even people who dont know much about computers can use keyloggers, thats what i feel,as i have no protection for virus, bu the way you can also try using linux, there are hardly any viruses made for linux thanks.
