they made fun of me

A group of boys made fun of me today and they said i was ugly, Whilst i can ignore them as they are just 'tards, it bothers me that people can just be so horrible. I do not know them and they do not know me.I just ignored them, had there been three or four i probably would have confronted them but there were 7 or 8. I just ignored them but was very p o'd. Anyone ever do anything like that to you? how do you deal with people like that?

You did the right thing in ignoring them and their remarks. Even if it would only be one, ignoring the person is a better course of action than confrontation. Confrontation is like satisfaction for them because they know they hit their mark. The taunting will continue. Ignoring them and pretending you didn't hear them is better because they simply don't know if they hit their mark and will give up. Do you really not know them? Not even in passing? That is really plain old rude. Are you sure they meant you? Well, be happy you don't know them. They are not worth your time. Yes, I have been taunted, but only by people I know. When I learned to ignore them, the taunting stopped to my face but continued behind my back. There was a girl at my school who was for some odd reason very jealous of me and spread wild rumors. People who didn't even know me joined in. Eventually people got to know me or saw that whatever she said wasn't right, even if they didn't get to know me. The rumors eventually stopped and her viciousness eventually turned on herself. What goes around comes around.

water off a ducks back hun i've had it before and will have it again these boys will be doing it to look good to their mates, feel accepted, part of the group. These are the type of people that are either nasty or lacking self esteem themselves. Ignore it, forget it and move on i know it stings initially but these are not people you care about so why care about their opinion. One on one they might have a different opinion, schoolyard humour, peer pressure and all that.

Just remind yourself that people who are make fun of others just have low self-esteem and so they pick on others to feel better about themselves! It is aggravating when people make rude remarks like that, but ignoring them is the best thing to do. Like may dad used to say, just let it roll of your back like water rolls off a duck!

yea its happened to me before an dthe best way to dal with is is to ignore it or go tell soemone about it. more than likely itl stop if someone intervenes, and yea peopel atre idiots sometimed just because they can be. i can also guarantee you that youre not the obnly person theyre picking on either, so dont get to butt hurt about it cuz they probably do that to everyone.
