Celebrity moms capitalizing off their kids with reality shows, is this wrong?

I bring this up because I caught one reality show about Lindsey Lohans sister but it seems more to me her mom is trying to be the star. Yea, I know Lohan's little sister is up and coming but the episode I watched was just silly teen stuff and I felt ridiculous watching. Her little sister and brothers were left home while Lindsey's mom went out and partied and the kids get freaked out because the house smells like burning wires and call the fire department because they couldn't get up with their mom! Is her mom a friend or foew? If I was a celebrity and my mother was in a reality show without me I would feel weird about it. Yea, say my mom came to me about it but even that is weird. I do not know if I would tell her how I really felt even though I did not like it because in Hollywood having your parents there can be reassuring (well sometimes). What do you think?I loved The Newlyweds (i also LO-VE Nick Lachey) but having Jessica Simpsons parents there nearly every step of the way at times got really annoying and I swear her mom talked to her more like a 12 year old then an adult. Sounds like codependency to me.
