Hello,
I can cook but I don't like to do it much so I know the basics and how to cook dinner for my family and things like that, but I don't know how to do a lot of fancy stuff since I never really cared enough about it to learn. So now, for those of you who do like to cook or bake, I have a question.
This year I am having a Halloween party. It is an adult party, but I really don't like the idea of gross looking refreshments, such as food that looks like eyeballs, etc. since I am very squeamish, lol.
So I have decided upon other foods for the refreshments at my party, among them being some finger sandwiches cut into halloween shapes using halloween cookie cutters. I was thinking of having little ghosts shaped sandwiches, witch shaped sandwiches and pumpkin shaped sandwiches.
Now of course white bread is perfect for the ghost sandwiches, but I was wondering, is there anyway that I could make green bread for the witch shaped sandwiches and orange bread for the pumpkin shaped sandwiches? I was thinking that maybe I could buy some boxes of regular, easy to make, bread mix from the store and then just mix in a little green or orange food coloring before putting them in the oven to bake. Would that work? Does anyone know or have any better ideas of how I could get green and orange bread?
