as we all know, cats are independent and hard to train them like dogs. most cat owners like their freedom and pay little attention to discipline the smart pets. but it's still necessary to teach cats about daily habits. do you have any good experience on effectively discipline your cat? this will be a useful class for those never raise a cat before.

Cat are usually hard to train, i agreed with. But with some proper simple training, you can disciplined it a little bit. The most important thing is to teach them to use the toilet. I will take my cat to the toilet if it is showing some 'signal'. You need to do this for sometime until it can use it on its own.

It really depends on what they are doing that you don't like. One type of discouragement does not fit all misbehaviors. But don't ever hit a cat. It teaches nothing and will make the cat afraid of you. If your cat tries to escape, take a soda can and fill it half way with coins. Shake it when the cat is near the outside door. If you do it enough, the cat won't go near the door. Double sided sticky tape on counters will keep the cat off them. Double sided sticky tape on the arms of couches will keep the cat from scratching the couch. Removal to a scratching post and making scratching motions will help with that as well. Often a sharp "NO!" will work wonders. What is your cat doing that displeases you?

The best way to discipline your cat is to spray them with a small squirt bottle. I think it is best to do it right away. Cats dont have a very long memory and if you wait too long he will never rembeer what you are squirting him for. My cat is really good. I never have to squirt him or anything else. He is a real sweet pea.
